Agreed, I'm sure she's a talented young girl, but that was not the venue for her to play the National Anthem.

a lot better than everyone that tries to sound like Mariah Carey. It was unique and pretty impressive. Maybe you just don't like the fiddle?

I agree that it was unique and, sure, she was a great fiddle player. But, honestly, if you're going to play the National Anthem, play the National Anthem. She would play a recognizable line of it and then do some flourish that took twice as long as the preceding line. Too much.

if you can't sing along with any version of the star spangled banner, it SHOULD NOT BE PLAYED. period. that was awful. the best part about it was the student section saying in sync "go to hell ole miss." i'm pretty sure she played a verse twice in there somewhere.

tons of vocal renditions are impossible for the crowd to sing along with. The girl was taking her greatest talent, and using it to honor our country.

but it wasn't. she put way too muchextra in it. hendrix's national anthem was great, because it actually flowed. she had no flow.

What she did to our National Anthem should be a crime, and she should be arrested. At a minimum, it should be legal to throw a bottle at someone that is doing that to our National Anthem.</p>
