Have been a few times. '99- You have to park on that golf course and then have to cross thosebridges to get to the stadium. Those damn Hog fans lined those bridges and taunted the State fans unmercifully. I can take just about any of it thrown at me, but to get up in old peoples face and women and curse them is unacceptable. It was not one or two Hogs at a time it was ten or twelve. This was the same game that the Hogs painted States bus and smashed out STate fans windows.

Also have been to Fayetville a few times, totally different crowd. Would go back.

Went with a few Auburn season ticket holder friends thinking it would be cool. I was wrong. The whole trip there (from Meridian) I had to hear "Hope we get to put our third string in for a bit..." Stopped in some little podunk town to eat. A bunch of Bama fans were there, so I hoped maybe my friends would start giving them a hard time. nope. Now bama and AU fans were giving me the "State sucks." I was just ready for the game to be over and done with. Get to the campus and things didn't get much better. Trying to show school spirit, I was rocking my "Dan is the Man" shirt. Got about twenty "who the 17 is Dan?" and quite a few more
"Dan 17in sucks". Things didn't get better in the stadium. Sitting in a section full of AU fans, I pretty much ahd to hear their **** the entire time. Half time came along, and while standing ankle deep in a flooded restroom, some drunk Auburn fan stands directly behind me talking some more smack. "5 and 19 don't mean ****" or something like that. I finally told him to 17 off. Needless to say, if I go back I'll be wearing neutral colors.

Apparently during the prior year's upset in Starkville, the celebrating fans ran over or hurt one of the Florida ball boys.

Mid-afternoon kickoff, hot as hell, and we got skulldragged 52-0. We actually recovered a fumble on Florida's first possession and had a chance to take the lead, but John Michael Marlin kicked a 42-yard field goal about 30 yards and we never came close to scoring again. Didn't know it at the time, but that was the beginning of the end for Jackie and really the start of the football purgatory we are just now climbing out of.

cold, wet, even sleeted a little.

The worst part was being morally and physically abused by the ole miss student section.

Damn ya'll for reminding me of that day. Now I considered myself a decent football player but I never had any visions of grandeur about being able to play the game like the D1 guys do... however, I still think even I could have made one of those 17ing throws into the endzone to win the game.

I tailgaied with LSU fans, sat with an LSU fan in the middle of LSU fans, wore my maroon and went apeshit crazy when we scored and got along with everyone the whole day and night. After the game is what made it a bad experience (besides the phantom LSU TD and Joe Lee Dunn's absolute refusal to put more than 3 men on the line when they were running it down our throats).

After the game a group of around 10 drunk, college aged guys encircled an old man wearing an MSU hat who looked to be in his late 60's and his grandson who looked to be around 10 and were flipping them off and dropping f-bombs on them. Here I was not 15 feet away and by myself yet they chose to harass the old man and the young kid. It being 10 to 1 and on enemy soil I didn't do anything. If they would have done that to me instead, I would have barreled into to them and in the immortal words of Tater Salad "I don't know how many of them it would take towhip my *** but I knew how many they would've used."

Thankfully sitting in the MSU section with my son, an Aubie fan first, MSU fan second.
He deported himself well, didn't jump up and cheer as AU was kicking our butts, although he wanted to.

Other than that, I thought the Aubies were much less @holes than other SEC venues I've visited.
They were for the most part, friendly, or at least indifferent.

...Was LSU 2000 when we choked away a big lead that wouldve all but put the west on ice for us. The next big milestone was the upig sleet game that november. By Florida 2001, the end had long since begun.

The 52-0 loss in Gainesville is up there. Our OT loss to LSU in 2000 was tough. Arkansas in Little Rock, almost every time we've gone. The loss to Vandy in 05. There's nothing worse than having Vandy fans run smack on you.

You can pretty much throw in almost every one of the road games (hell, and home games for that matter) during Jackie's last two years. The loss at Houston was unbelievable....down 28-0 in the first quarter. The loss to Tulane in the dome when we coughed up a two touchdown, fourth quarter lead. I would throw our recent trips to West Virginia and Georgia Tech in there, too. Thanks, Croom. And lest we forget the Lousiana Tech debacle in 2008.

Despite all of that, the worst to me was the trip out to Oregon. From dealing with their stupid fans, to the Fant Tiregate mess, it was a cluster- from the start.

running. Spurrier gets that smug look on his face and starts to trot onto the field to shake hands and gloat and the Kang calls timeout. I think I spit beer all over the floor at Good Times laughing my *** off at the look on Spurrier's face after the TO.
