I havenoticed that as well. I'm starting to wonder if the fans are simply getting tired of Stans. The 10 year lifespan for coaches might be starting to kick in. (I know Stans has been here longer than that) This has been a really weird year attendance wise. This is the first year since I have been at State where itseems as if a lot of students don't even care about going to the game. With the exception of the Kentucky and Ole Miss games our crowds have been weak all year.Hanmudog said:I did not say turn down the invite completely. I just said that I would not blame Byrne for turning down a chance to host based on how cruddy our crowds have been this season. I could easily see us losing money on an NIT game. Again, I have been to every home game this year and the crowds have been dead and generally between 7000-8000K for SEC games. I would be shocked if we drew more than 6000 for an NIT game unless it is against North Carolina or someone like that.
Ifthe enthusiasm surrounding the program continue to plummet like it has thisyear, I could see attendance forcing Byrne's hand on Stans.
