Would it be frowned on if I got a BJGE jersey?

I'm a huge Bengals fan and a even bigger fan of running the ball. I'm kinda hung up on it, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't excited he's in orange strips this year. Thoughts?

I don't do it myself, but I don't see why it bothers some people what other people wear. Sports fashion police?

Unless they are giant douches like Eli Manning.

Go to any NFL game and I'd say at least 50% of the fans are wearing jerseys.

Unless you're a hot chick and the jersey fits a little too tight. But that's just my opinion. As you were.

As for the NFL being different than college, people at a lot of other schools wear jerseys.

The year after the Saints won Superbowl XLIV, I bought an away (white) Drew Brees jersey with the captain and superbowl patches so that I could wear it to their pre-season game against the Pats at Gillette.

And last year, when the Saints were in the playoffs, I wore it during each of their playoff games. Seriously, don't think too deeply on this one. If you want the jersey, GET IT.

But can't afford to foot the entire bill. If anyone would like to contribute, I'll handle purchase and shipping. PM me if interested.

Yeah I can't see myself in a college jersey. You are right though, I'd say more than 50% of the ppl at Bengals games or tailgating rock a jersey. On of my buddy and his wife collect em, they prolly have half the team at skill positions, even some throwbacks (Carl Pickens, Boomer, ect,)

i got no problem with you wearing a jersey if thats your thing. i personally would never wear anything associated with a player from ole miss. hell i hate the football giants almost as much as i hate ole miss just because eli is there. hated the pats because of BJGE and now will hate the bengals. i even hate the 49rs because p willis is a beast and booby sits on the bench

I thought I remember you saying they are damn near authentic. Have you seen their Nike jerseys in person?

I'm on that site and I've never seen that. I was going to place an order but didn't see a min order.

God, do I hate seeing Giants crap all over the 601...<div>
</div><div>If Charles Mitchell were to blow up for the Falcons I'd wear his jersey, if I bought another jersey. I almost bought a J-Rock jersey but went with Ryan instead, only because they didn't J-Rock in the throwback style.</div>

sewn on numbers and everything.

Have yet to get a Nike one. A group of us ordered 8 last Christmas so we could save on shipping.

and they only take Visa I think. I didn't have a Visa card - only AMEX or Mastercard.

if it makes it any better. I say wear whatever the hell you want to. The biggest risk of NFL jerseys is the chance that the player won't be around with the team for as long as you'd hope. Especially with an outfit like the Bengals (cases in point: my wife's dust-collecting Johnson and Houshmanzadeh jerseys).

...but the guy said he's a huge Bengals fan. I've been a huge Saints fan for a while, but do you think I started hating them just because of Deuce Mcallister? Hell no. I think your hate for Ole Miss runs a little too deep.

Ok I didn't start hating the saints because deuce was there and I even cheered him on. Exception to the rule. I still wouldn't wear a duece jersey. Not going that far with it

Anybody else want in? We need another $45ish to cover the jersey and shipping to Afghanistan.

Another easy/inexpensive thing anyone can do to support deployed troops is buy one a cup of coffee through the "cup of joe for a joe" program through Green Beans Coffee (link below). There are Green Beans at many bases in the AOR (Air Force term for the Middle East). Getting a free coffee from the Green Bean was one of the most enjoyable (maybe the only) things I looked forward to while deployed.
