Every job he's had was short lived and out of courtesy to Frank.
Has there ever been a son of a coaching legend to ever come close to achieving the success of their "old man"? Maybe there is but, I'm not aware of one. To base a hiring decision on what "Daddy" did seems to me incredibly lazy and stupid. But, it is something our BOT and past AD would do. I believe that was the case with the Beamer hire. smh

I'm not sure if Monte Kiffin (Lane Kiffin's dad) was ever an HC, but he was a very successful NFL assistant coach.

He was at NC State. But I think he was fired as Head Coach there. While there, he accused Danny Ford of being a cheater. That made me a fan of Monte.

I read that Golesh decided on Auburn. Do you feel that makes better sense than Arkansas for him? Arkansas hired Memphis Head Coach. Ryan Silverfield. I especially like Florida's hire of Jon Sumrall. That is bad news for us since Florida will be a permanent opponent of ours.

All 3 hired Head Coaches with proven Head Coach success. That is never a guarantee of future success. But, it does improve the odds, especially in a league as difficult as the SEC.

I just want to hire a coach that another SEC coach would actually consider

I heard Arkansas was not offering the money that was initially agreed to. I can't verify the accuracy of that statement, but if true I can see why
Golesh decided to move on.
