Would Pearl ever bid for SEC baseball tournament?

6k seats short -- and the state of MS will never get postseason events(unless they were earned by teams such as baseball regionals) as long as the current flag flies.
Trustmark would be #10-15 in the pecking order if the tournament were to move...LOTS of great minor league parks now in the SEC footprint.

The postseason event rule is NCAA only not a conference rule. CUSA had their tourney at Pearl in the last few years.
Too small, not enough room for media.....

I'm aware of what the rule is. The SEC is a whole different game than CUSA from a media, visibility, and political scrutiny standpoint. Ultimately, the SEC would never make a decision with that much potential to be a firestorm of bad publicity, which you know would come from it. There will never be a postseason anything in MS involving the SEC until the flag comes down -- and it may never be period.
Trustmark Park would actually be a great location (in itself) considering that it's near the airport, off of I-20 and I-55, and will have an outlet mall (on site) completed by next year. The negatives-It's not in Alabama, a bad area of Jackson lies just west of the ballpark. Pearl is mostly distressed and unsightly in appearance. TP is short on seating, (although not by much) and this is Mississippi, our flag offends the media. So no, the SEC tournament would never happen at TP. But it's perfect for the C-USA tourney and the 100-200 out of state fans it brings.
Not only that, but I don't think the SEC would do anything to help Mississippi's cause in terms of publicity or hosting SEC events. I understand this is a black helicopter-ish post, but show me an instance where the SEC has done ANYTHING to help Mississippi out in any way, and I'll retract my statement. Until then, the SEC will continue to see Mississippi as a doormat and nothing more.
I agree that Memphis is the best spot if the tourney is ever moved. But I don't think that Trustmark Park is too small to be out of the equation, in terms of seating alone. I didn't see any crowd levels at Hoover, that couldn't be accommodated at Trustmark Park. But I'm just going by what I saw this year only. Autozone Park is more impressive and would have room to grow, plus it's better than Jackson.. fourfold.
Could Chumpa Lumpa be strong enough to change the flag? It would help!
If Lambadatadelta wanted to, could he have to power to remove it from flying over MS?
There was almost 11k at the championship game today and we played in front of over 12k last year. Trustmark can't hold that.
