Would Penn State / Nick Saban be interested in one another?

Saban's from Michigan and grew up in the Big 10. I believe Myer is also from that part of the country. So they'd both be going home, so to speak. Same for Les Miles, I think.<div>
</div><div>But there might not be too many who would take the job right now or in the near future. And Myer is supposed to have health issues that prevents him from coaching, does he not? He might be better off in the booth, and can make just as much money doing that.</div>

It is also fairly close to PSU. I just do not think that any good coach will want to go there right now. Unless his ego makes him want to be known as turning around 3 historic programs.

that would mean a clean slate to begin the program without being in the shadow of the scandal. He would have good atheletes, they already have plain uniforms and there would be very little change to the offensive style.

who can come in and completely tear down everything associated with the old way, demand total autonomy, and dare any MFer to cross him. Whoever he pissed off in the process would completely disappear once he started reeling off wins.

What they will likely end up with, however, is a Ray Perkins - someone associated with Paterno who tries to have it both ways. A little of the new way, but retaining some of the old. And it will be colossally unsuccessful.

Following a legend, poor recruiting base, middle of nowhere cold as crap in the winter. Saban went from MSU to Baton Rouge for a reason.

And I doubt the next guy will have too many - if any ties - to the past.

Not if they are smart.

Alabama will pay what it takes to hang on to him. PSU wouldn't win a bidding war with them. And you are in a far better recruiting position down here.
