Would Saban have won a NC if he stayed at Michigan State?

I agree. He may have slipped in a NC there, but he knew it would be an easier path at LSU.

You are gifted talent at LSU and Bama. He would never have been able to get the talent to get the job done. Michigan State is like us.They really would have to be lucky to work your way into the championship game.

but I think there's a good chance he would have played for one by now. I have no reason to believe that Saban couldn't have run through the Big 10 undefeated at least once since he left.

one of the big reasons he left was that he was tired of recruiting against Michigan.
