Nebraska is intriguing, they cant recruit like the 70s or 80s anymore, and dont fit in all that well with the Big Ten. But right now they get the bucks from the Big.
Covid is having an impact on everything though, so no way to know where money in sports is going. Might make sense for the Big Ten to contract by a school or two so that the others can maintain the same financial level per school. Nebraska hasnt brought anything other than a name that doesnt hold the same weight it used to.
If something like that happened, Nebraska could help the BIG I2 grow their financial numbers and get to 12 teams and Nebraska would be in a more competitive situation.

I suggest that if Nebraska came back to Big 12 that its recruiting would perk up within the Big 12 footprint.I don't believe the Huskers are very happy in the B1G, and with this Covid fiasco taking place for the last few months of football season, the B1G is obviously holding a grudge against them.
Started off by not allowing them to play football outside of the B1G, if the B1G didn't have a season. Then, just for ***** and giggles, they made them open the season at Ohio State. Today, they were able to schedule UT-Chattanooga to take the place of the Wisconsin game, but the B1G denied them the ability to play that game.
