Can’t speak for everyone else, but I certainly didn’t dislike Cal before he came here. Sure some UK fans did, but imo, the claim that all UK fans hated Cal is waaaay over-done.But, did we love Cal before he came to UK?

There is no discussion to be had when someone posts some ridiculous idiocy that pops into their head. "Discussion" assumes that the person posting an opinion has actually thought about what they're saying, but the overwhelming evidence points to the fact that you didn't really give it any thought at all. The proper response to that is contempt and condescension.

Cal took TWO teams to a final four that had no business being there. Pearl never been to one. No offense to Pearl, who is a great coach. He’s just not on Cal’s level and never had been.
Pedigree suggests more than record. It suggests brith from a coaching tree and/or a sense of character. Cal was a blue collar coach like Pearl. He did not get the benefit of some silver spoon coaching tutelage. He earned his stripes. As did Bruce. And, Cal’s rep was not good nationally before he came to UK. Big mouth cat fans bashed him regularly before he came to UK. Bruce’s rep is well-earned, but in a country of second chances, I think he succeeds at Auburn. It’s a simple question, not worthy of all the angst displayed here.
No angst on my end. But if you consider Pearl to have been on Caliparis level with a fraction of the accomplishments, then you’re deluding yourself.

BP has done some stupid things in the past, but he is a damn good coach and would run through a wall for his team. I think Auburn is on the map to stay as long as he is there.
