Spin it any way you want, Ole Miss won it this year. Really don't have a problem with the way the SEC does it in baseball either, as baseball schedules involve far more games and less than equal schedules. Bothers me not at all they OM was not seeded #1 in a tournament whose very relevance is questioned by some.

I still think the ideal way to settle the conference champion would be the conference tournament seeded by the regular season, that would ensure the coaches do give the tourney its due. But that isn't the way the SEC currently subscribes to.

And yep, as I already acknowledged 8 years (actually only 7) isn't a decade. Guess you glossed over that one.

As "dominant" as om has been over us, in our worst stretch in our history, we are .500 against them.

A Co-Championship does not equal an outright Championship. When did Ole Miss last win an outright SEC Championship in the Big 3 sports? (Tennis is not one of them).

7 years did not equal a decade.

Yep, twice in this thread.

According to the SEC website, OM won it's last SEC championship in the Big 3 sports in 2009. Incidentally the sport was baseball.

According to the same site, MSU hasn't won an SEC championship in baseball since 1989.

That's not very 'egual', is it?

Outright, that means not a co-championship.
This year Ole Miss was the Co-Champion along with LSU in baseball. Congrats..

So when did Ole Miss win it's last outright championship in one of the Big 3 sports?

Anyone, Anyone, Bueller, Bueller ????

sharing the same record as another team by official NCAA or SEC standards. I absolutely do not find the term "outright" anywhere when researching it. Maybe you can help dig that up.

Until then, the answer to your question is 2009, baseball.

Thanks in advance.

Outright means you did not share the championship with anyone else. You are a smart one...
Thanks for playing.
Feel free to let me know when your last outright(non co-championship) in the Big 3 sports was.

it counts co-champs.

Thanks in advance.

Oh yeah, the answer to your question (again) is 2009.

If you answer yes to that question, why are trying so hard to convince rival fans otherwise? It shouldn't matter to you.

It's starting to sound like the message board battle here is not with the MSU fans, but within yourself.

I mentioned the SEC championship in passing, seems to be an MSU fan that couldn't bear the thought of it.

Really doesn't matter what he thinks, nor what I think, as it is what it is and OM won the title.

I do find it a bit amusing the lengths that some people will go to revise history though, even of the recent sort.
