1-11 is not a hugely successful season, dubmass.I could care less if we went 0-11 til that point as long as we would keep UM from going to Atlanta, it would be a hugely succesful season.

6. The NCAA's unsuccessful 3-year witch hunt against Mississippi State destroyed the program and therefore Jackie's 3 last 3 dismal years shouldn't be held against him.Coach34 said:1. Jackie coached in the toughest conference in the nation his entire career. Stansbury coaches in about the 5th toughest conference.
2. Jackie took over an awful program. Stansbury took over a program that nearly won a National Championship 2 years earlier
3. Its harder to win in football- 2/3 of your schedule is conference(which means its hard as hell in the SEC), basketball only about 55% is conference. Basketball also allows you to schedule more easy games due to the sport having 3 times as many teams.
4. Football doesnt have AAU
5. Jackie moved State from a regional stage to a national stage, the SEC even had to start changing rules once we started winning to stop it- (outlawed DPR, changed permanent conference schedules after we went to Atl, banned cowbells). Stansbury took over a regional team and has kept them regional.
Both coaches have their merits, but stop with the ********
dawgstudent said:I would have to say point #1 is completely wrong. In Stansbury's coaching tenure, no way is the SEC the 5th best conference.
