Would you watch SEC curling?

This would be a really cheap sport (it doesn't take full ice rinks - just a strip of ice on each campus) the SEC could add that would at least be as popular as swimming, volleyball, etc.

Granted, I don't know if the novelty would wear off if we got to watch it more than once every 4 years, but there's a lot of fascinating strategy involved. Especially if it was just a couple weeks on the SEC Network each summer (what else is it going to show in July and August?), I think it would be as popular as swimming, volleyball, etc.

I think I would--at least from time to time, if only because it's State. Side note: a friend went to a curling class in Charlotte. He said it was a blast.

My Canuck buddy says it`s a great participatory sport especially when mixed with beer and a few friendly wagers.

I'd say more like shuffleboard on ice. And I'd love it if there was a place to play around here.

this seems like a great opportunity to get our first team national championship. we could be the harvards, princetons, and yales of the early football version of the curling collegiate world and rack up on some national title hardware before the fad sweeps the nation and replaces football as americas number one spectator sport. make it happen strick.

That would be awesome. I'd probably try out if I was still in school. And having an ice strip would probably lead to an intramural league too. I've never played or anything, but have spent enough time at the shuffleboard table in the local watering hole to make me think I could do it.

Does anyone watch any sport other than football, basketball, baseball? No. The only sport that could possibly draw any viewership would be women's beach volleyball. I would watch that. Oh man, how I would watch that.

The women's British team is smoking.

They blew it against Canada though. Fitting...

Hell, I've already watched more curling this year than NCAA basketball. It's sad to say but it's more exciting than watching one of our games and I don't even understand curling.
