They may give him 20 years for missing the playoff and losing to Ohio State alone.Going from one Big House to another.
They, Notre Dame, Alabama, Ohio State, Southern Cal, LSU, Penn State, Texas, Oklahoma are legacy programs. They ebb and flow, but the culture and commitment don't wain, so any of them is always a threat to reemerge. It's always a matter of getting all the right people together.Yeppers, and they will likely remain in that position forever, unless they hit a real downturn. OSU is 20 wins behind them and Alabama 38. They would have to go winless and LSU undefeated for about 13 years for LSU to close the gap. Ten national titles to LSU's 4.
I don't like Michigan. Can't recall ever pulling for them in a game. But they one of the very small handful of teams, possibly them, ND and Alabama, that are synonymous with college football.
They won't accept it because it isn't necessarily true. They've been over before - multiple times. They are the type that will plug and play with coaches until they get back to the Promised Land....The days of Bama being clearly dominant in the SEC are over but the Bama fans will never accept that reality.
They have had ups and downs but they never stick with a coach who isn't producing championships of some kind or doesn't win the games they find important. They ran off Bill Curry after a 10-2 season and SEC championship season because he lost 3 in a row to Auburn, his three year record was 26-10. Bama fans are the dangerous combination of arrogant, entitled and dumb. They won't accept it because it isn't necessarily true. They've been over before - multiple times. Whatever they are, why shouldn't they be? How has whatever we are by comparison been working for us?They have had ups and downs but they never stick with a coach who isn't producing championships of some kind or doesn't win the games they find important. The nutjobs that are Bama fans is why DeBoer should go to Michigan if they offer him the job.
I think we might be having two different conversations. I'm making the case for DeBoer to leave. I think you are making a case for whether or not Bama fans are correct in their thinking.Whatever they are, why shouldn't they be? How has whatever we are by comparison been working for us?
This doesn't seem that far fetched to me. DeBoer could go back to coaching in the B1G, UM can certainly match and exceed any kind ofThe most reasonable suggestion as to the next coach at Michigan is Kenny Dillingham at Arizona State. I can’t see DeBoer leaving Alabama.
Stay tuned for the first round CFP game. They lost by 2 to OU a few weeks ago. Then they got stomped by UGA in the SECCG. If they lose to OU, there will be rumbles, as that would make them 2-3 over their last 5 games (1-3 in FBS games). That is NOT territory you want to be in as a Bama head coach, even if one of those losses is in the CFP. If they look bad in a losing effort, I can absolutely see pressure ramping up.This doesn't seem that far fetched to me. financial package that 'Bama can offer, then there is the point that every school has a fringe part of the fan base, but 'Bama certainly has more than their fair share.
(they were asking DeBoer to be fired after the Vandy loss last year and again after the FSU loss)
I'm not suggesting he will leave, or that I'm going to debate this subject any further, but it wouldn't surprise me if he left for the UM job
If this is true not only has Moores life been destroyed (by his own hands) but there is going to be ripple effects that affect the whole universityAffair with a staffer
Got her pregnant
Paid for an abortion
Threated to kill himself during an argument with his wife
Went to house of a staffer, held a knife to his own throat and threatened to kill them both
Wild and sad

Word is, AD and others knew about this several weeks ago but kept it quiet until after signing day. If true, AD will probably be gone along with a lot of other people. If this is true not only has Moores life been destroyed (by his own hands) but there is going to be ripple effects that affect the whole university
I like mayhem myself as long as it's not about something truly important, which this isn't.Stay tuned for the first round CFP game. They lost by 2 to OU a few weeks ago. If they win, he's not going anywhere.
I want the chaos. DeBoer to Michigan. Lane to Bama.
My response was to the apparent criticism of Alabama fan's mindset. It's the kind of pressure that such a mindset exerts that keeps certain schools striving for what yields optimum results even if they have more misses than hits on coaches along the way.I think we might be having two different conversations. I'm making the case for DeBoer to leave. I think you are making a case for whether or not Bama fans are correct in their thinking.
Coaches rarely leave SC on their own unless they are the retreads we drag out of retirement who get to the end of the time they want to work. When the fans demand mediocrity, and pay well to get it, coaches tend to hang around until they are told to leave.
Of course this is all speculation, but I would be surprised if 'Bama went after Kiffin.Stay tuned for the first round CFP game. They lost by 2 to OU a few weeks ago. I find it interesting that the 'assistant' got a 55% raise last year, was let go this year, and then she when to the administration with proof of their relationship right before all this happened.Trainwreck-was stalking a woman for months.

Fired Michigan coach Sherrone Moore was ‘suicidal’ after cops were called to his executive assistant’s apartment
The police dispatch audio from a domestic violence call was placed from a Michigan football employee’s Ann Arbor address.nypost.com
There would have to have been substantial payoffs and burial/destruction of evidence for it to happen. So if Michigan had made the CFP this season is the coach's affair swept under the rug?
If that were really a problem, his white wife would have probably been a problem before now.Of course, it didn't take long for the race baiters to jump on this. Saying he only got fired b/c he's a black coach who slept with a white girl.
there's always a narrativeIf that were really a problem, his white wife would have probably been a problem before now.
Mel Tucker feels slighted.Ryan Clark on ESPN: all black coaches will be judged based on what Moore did.
They just can't help themselves.
That would seem very unlikely, once he got booked his name would have been out on the wires. No turning back after that.So if Michigan had made the CFP this season is the coach's affair swept under the rug?
