Wow...Brassell just committed to State

And I think Singleton is going to play WR. The only issue that I have with this is that we've had to pick up Joe Price and Market along the way.

State is getting awfully low on scholarships we have to offer and still have positions we have to fill. We HAVE to get a JUCO MLB, and probably a JUCO LT. I think we'll get a commit from Jordan Hunt at Co-Lin before long, not sure on the OT. I also see us getting that DE from Hinds (Leon Mackey) and maybe 1 other JUCO lineman.

it all boils down to whether or not we think a guy is worth two scholarships. Having seen all four of these players involved, my answer is yes. Even the "throw-ins" on the package deals are guys that are fast and have some things that we can work with.

am i one of the few who is also excited about getting them. Market will be a great nickel back and ST guy for 3 or 4 years and Price can play WR/CB and help on ST. they wont just be average ST guys they will be exceptional ST guys and that is something we are lacking right now. I think Market has a big career here

It just seems like we have a bit of jam at Safety and at RB. I think Devonte Scott has lost his scholarship, or is at least a sign and place at this point. Seems like we have alot of guys that are 5'11 190 lbs.

I love it. If Price and Market can be Special teamers and contribute in any other way, it's a huge win for us. This is how you build connections that open doors for years to come. Hopefully we get Singleton as well and when was the last time we got any commits from South Panola or Madison Central.

is a back-up plan. If something happens, we just keep him. If everything goes as planned, we cut him or sign and place him or whatever.

We do have a lot of athletes. I think that's exactly what we have to do.

We're not going to ever be like Alabama or Southern Cal where we can get a lot of "finished product" type players where we know exactly where they are going to go and what position they are going to play. What we need to do is take advantage of the fact that there are a lot of good athletes in the state and surrounding areas and go bring those players in, and once they get in campus find a spot for them and then coach them up for a lack of a better word. Get Balis to work with them, to.

Even a guy like Brassell- he may play WR for us, or he may play CB. The more guys we have, the more depth we have and also the more players we have, the more likely we're going to find some that can play.

Basically we have to bring in QB's- like Tyler Russell or Favre, bring in linemen, bring in athletes, and bring in kickers. And then figure out where everyone fits.

surprise but be prepared because the **** is gonna hit the fan in Oxford and they won't take this lying down. It is great to be relevant and hated again.
