First batter of the night for the Marlins. First homer of the year for Gordon. God is a sports fan.
Living in South Florida I follow the Marlins religiously. I cried with Dee last night. I remember his father, Tom Gordon, well. Both are great people. By the way, Jose Fernandez invited several Marlins to go with him on the boat but they turned him down. It turns out that he had a fight with his pregnant girlfriend and wanted to blow off steam. Marlin players told him NOT to take his boat out. The ocean is incredibly dangerous at night.
