Wow..getting testy between Wyatt and Cross...

And how about this...when the last caller finally got to a point saying Texas was probably a middle of the road SEC Team, Cross went apeshit! How dare we not know Texas is going to compete for a Title. Cross then says.."well they are not Bama...not LSU and probably not UGA..but every bit as good as South Carolina." To that I say two things. 1) Wouldn't that make them middle of the road in the SEC if they are behind the first 3-4 teams? 2) Is Cross saying that they would lose by 35 to South Carolina?
TX finished 4-5 in the BIG XII last year and tied for 6th place. They are improved this year, but even their own fans wonder about their QB situation and expected their D to carry the team this year. Most horns I talked to today were very upset that they gave up several big plays to the bears.
The Bears are praying and hoping that we really arent very good. They are still holding out hope we screw up and only win 6-7 games. Since the "Auburn is going to beat you by two TD's" mantra got blown to ****, they have moved on to "Tenn is going to beat you by two TD's"

Besides the fact that Cross was being a dick, I mean that's par for the course.
He is such a homer I stopped listening to the show, he makes it almost impossible for Matt and the guests to have an opinion that differs with his.
Matt was making the point that both MSU and OM have to look at
the outcome of their games in a similar fashion, if not the same way.
MSU cannot afford to look at the Troy game and say "well we won and that's all that matters". He said so from the perspective of a former player who was telling the frat boy that coaches n the MSU locker room will be pointing out te negatives as important means learning from the game.
OM cannot afford to only look at the final score either. They must take some positives and build on them as State had to do in 2009.
Richard apparantly took this as condescending (and got excited) and portray Matt's argument in the light that he was saying OM fans can take nothing good from the game, and that Matt was arguing in circles.
He wasnt. Then the stupid little prick took it a step further. When Matt called him out and asked him to point to one comment that he made that indicated he thought OM shouldnt take any positives away, Richard couldnt. He just responded to Matt getting upset by saying "feel better?" As if he hadnt started it.
Richard, I know you read this board. Remember a few things dumbass. First, to make a counterpoint, you have to understand the original point that was made by simply listening. 2nd, if you lose your cool first, you still lost your cool. Pointing out the other guy is raising his voice is gradeschool.
Finally, I know it chaps your pampered *** that MSU fans are the ones being snarky to you because, quite frankly, they can. But you made that bed brother. Take your medicine and shut up. You might just hear enough to understand next time before you open your mouth.

I read and hear in person many people saying what a prick Richard is but does anyone ever say anything like that about Matt? If so, I never hear it.

I don't know if Cross is a prick but I can assure you he is the reason I stopped listening to head to head. Richard sure does a good job of portraying himself as a jerkoff. As for Matt I have absolutely no complaints with him, he always comes across as respectful and seems willing to listen to the other persons point of view.
I'm not surprised that Matt comes across as a good guy though, I had the pleasure of talking to his father for a while at a game and it was very easy to tell he is from a good family.

Cross is too big of a UM fan to be objective about them or us. If you ever heard his show before head to head, it was like listening to rebel yell. Matt is certainly a State fan, but he doesn't have the deep down total hatred for UM. Maybe being married to a rebel helps with that.
Looks like they're getting the exact response they wanted from the listeners. The only thing they could want more would be more callers. You're talking about them well after the show is over. If you don't think it's an act where they play off of each other and one will say stupid stuff to get the other fanbase riled up then you are immensely dense. They're doing the show to make money, and they don't make money by agreeing with each other and giving and reacharound to the "rival" program.

For every person that stops listening because they can't laugh at it, there are 5 more that tune in because Billy Joe told them about that ridiculous thing Dick Cross or Matt Wyatt said.

You're right, and I think it's funny. The comments he makes in that character get State fans so riled up. And don't be fooled, Wyatt doesn't do that "whiny" bit, but he makes little remarks here and there that are just the same as Cross...at least the times I have listened.
I think it's good radio because, among all the extra ********, they do actually talk sports, and they make it entertaining. The callers and their responses to them are great, too.
Well count me as one that quit listening bc of Dick. Matt let's Dick make his points and then either agrees or disagrees and explains why.......meanwhile IF Richard lets Matt make his point without cutting him off, he proceeds to act like every point he makes is dumb.
Finebaum does the same thing but he is at least entertaining. Cross is just annoying as hell, and too much of a homer to waste two hours on. Dude is terrible

That's exactly why I don't listen.. Dick cuts off EVERYBODY mid-sentence, whether it's callers, guests, or Matt. NOBODY gets to voice an opinion except Dick. That's annoying as 17. That equals prick, period, end of argument.
