Harrar was a beast tonight and the team battled back from an 11(?) point second point deficit to win it at the end. They made critical foul shots to ice the game and Harrar was getting offensive rebounds when it counted. Lundy played well also and Shrews got T’d up in the first half but made his point. The calls were very uneven but he overcame them. Kudos to the team for beating a ranked team tonight.

John Freakin Harrar! I’m not one for retiring numbers but I really hope that JH gets some sort of recognition for what he has meant to Penn State men’s basketball. Maybe naming a heart/hard work award after him. Anyone have any better ideas for recognizing JH?

MSU had it up to 14 at one point.

Shrewsberry has mentioned several times that PSU will be showing clips of John Harrar in practice and game action for many years to come.

Uneven calls I’m the Big10? That can’t be! Don’t they love us?

Nice job Shrews and boys!

I don't know if anyone in the conference or country works harder than Harrar. He was a monster on the glass. He's also a class act-- no taunting, staredowns after dunks, etc.

We've had so many close games that went the other team's way, great to see this one go ours, especially in front of the home crowd.

Best 10-12 team in the country... can compete with anyone and with a tiny bit of luck could have had 4 or so more conference wins already.

I didn't watch much of the first half, so if he got a technical in the first half the officiating must have been lopsided. And when I was watching in the 2nd half PSU had been called for 8 fouls and MSU only 2 or 3, can't remember exactly. Then they called a couple on MSU, but it was still uneven in the 2nd half.

Always great to overcome both opponents, the other team and the B10 officials!!!

Only caught the last few minutes, but very nice win. This team seems to do this every year, no matter the coach or the opponent - a victory over a ranked conference team at home.

I didn’t think it was a poorly officiated game at all…we got called for a couple cheap fouls up top, but they predictably got called fir a few after the T. I thought the play that Micah got T’d up on should have probably been a foul on Harrar on the rebound. Think it was more frustration over the past several games, and looking to get some calls after the T, which we did…although I thought they missed the block/charge call on Harrar later in the game.

It was the type of officiating that’s become the norm in college…call ticky tack stuff up top, but then let the big guys hammer each other down low.

The one that was particularly egregious to me was the foul on Harrar I believe when he got run over by the MSU player going to the basket. Just an obvious type of f.u. call by that ref.

I thought Harrar drew a charge instead of getting called for a block. I assume they said he wasn't square in taking the charge but his feet were outside the line, he was there in time and didnt move.

Yep, and the broadcasters tried to see some movement to back up the officials and I believe commented that Harrar moved his shoulder into the guy, which he didn't. More B10 cooking to overcome.....
