Wow, is Sherrod really the top OT on the projected NFL draft board?...

I knew he was quite a good player for us but I guess I didn't realize he was getting that kind of attention from the NFL scouts.

nfldraft has him as the 2nd LT and like the 22 overall prospect. I think thats a bit more accurate than Yahoo's 1 LT and 6th overall.

Remember Yahoo also had Jevon Snead as the projected 1 pick, so what do they know?

I think Sherrod will be lucky to be a first round pick. There is alot of talk that he could be a great RT in the NFL, but the jury is still out at LT.

on Sherrod. If I'm interpreting the CBSSports.com projection correctly it appears they have Sherrod as the #1 OT and the #6 player overall.

CBS has Chris White at #293 overall and #16 ILB while running a 4.83 forty. Apparently they haven't seen him run down several speedsters.</p>

winning team. The amp'ed up looks that our players and coaches are getting is fantastic.
It has been way to long. If you don't think winning makes a difference look at Dixon's lack of recognition, the best back in the SEC was a 6th round pick, if the team was 10-2 last year he would have been all-american.

Could be CBS just hasn't updated their scouting report on Chris White. Sports Illustrated has him as a "riser":

and I have seen him in the top 100 prospects on a couple of draft sites.

Also, #6 overall is the highest I have seen Sherrod, but at this point he is a definite first round pick, and the top offensive tackle on most sites.

As far as Dixon goes, he got a lot of exposure. There was just something in the package that made teams pause to draft him. Chris Ivory was still waiting by the phone too.

As far as Sherrod, these rankings are based on NFL teams' analysis of individual talent.

It is great to have a winning team, but I don't get into making up facts.

I'm not saying he is Pork Chop or anything but damn he sure looked like it the other night on run plays. He was down field blocking like he was a full back. One funny note, they were going on about his fundamentals on how goodthey wereand one play later he was called for holding.

I love how he's about ten yards downfield on those option read sweeps when Relf actually does give up the ball. Sherrod will push a linebacker so far back that he clogs up the defense's pursuit angles with a wall of humanity. Hevesy has been a great, great hire.

I remember when Sherrod came out of high school, he won the Gatorade Mississippi player of the year. Ole Miss fans pitched a bloody ***** that Chris Strong didn't win it. Sherrod was strong academically and Strong was not. Sherrod has been great and Strong did not win the four Butkus awards that he predicted he would win. Does anyone know what happened to Chris Strong after he left Ole Miss???
