"Is he gay?"

Florio is as good as there is in the business, crazy he would say that. He must be hearing that quite a bit from front office guys if he'd drop that on national TV/radio.

I think a lot of front offices are afraid to be "the first"

It'll be a pretty huge day when we have the first openly gay athlete playing at the highest level in a major team sport. Right now, owners have to be scared to death of the possible locker room issues, and outside hate they would be opening themselves up to if they sign someone who even has a chance to come out of the closet while under contract.

After seeing him in the national championship game, I'd think the biggest issue is can he shed an NFL blocker and tackle an NFL Rb? I wouldn't worry about whether he was gay until I figured out the answer to that question, but if I wasn't sure about the answer to that question, I definitely would not be in a hurry to add a potential publicity nightmare

Has he done any workouts at the combine yet? How do his measurables other than his size stack up?

One would think that being gay would open some holes for him and give him the opportunity to sack a QB or nail a RB in the backfield.

This is a HUGE issue. Make no mistake about it. In football the locker room integrity and cohesiveness is an absolute priority. This isn't an issue of "does he have a bad attitude" type situation because coupled with the right coach/system this can be somewhat nullified. This CAN'T be! I don't know if T'eo is gay, but make no mistake IF he is and whatever team he goes to.....it will dramaticly affect the locker room.

You are absolutely right - just look at Chris Culliver

He's the 49er that made all those homophobic statements before the superbowl - and that's a player from San Francisco, one of the most LBGT friendly cities in the US. When it happens, and I have to assume it eventually will - there will be locker room chaos.
