I remember in the mid 90's when he I Larry Walker were hitting around .400. They did an interview together for ESPN, and it was freaking hilarious. I tried to find it on youtube, but I couldnt. If anyone finds that interview, please post it.
What's crazy is I've been way behind and somehow managed to avoid all spoilers other than the Red Wedding and now that I'm finally almost caught up, you *** hats screw it up. I'm not really mad at y'all as much as my wife. I would already be completely caught up if she didn't have this crazy idea that you shouldn't watch GofT with a 5 year old and a 3 year old in the room.
Do it man. I don't know how long you have been doing it but I started when I was 16 and quit last year. I'd tried dozens of times but finally got serious. I was the biggest ******* for about a week but it's worth it. I've had maybe 3 or 4 times in the last year where I've craved one. Most of the time thinking about it makes me sick.
Tony Gwynn never struck out more than 40 times in a season.
Only struck out 434 times in 20 years.
He only had one 3 strikeout game in his career. Wow.
- Hit .415 with no strikeouts in 94 at-bats against Greg Maddux and .444 with one strikeout in 72 at-bats against John Smoltz. The only pitcher to strike him out more than six times was Nolan Ryan, and he still hit .302 (with nine strikeouts) in 63 at-bats against him.
