I have no idea of their situation but his Mom was rumored to work for the MSU county extension office. There's always a rumor every year where a player's family is "moving to Oxford".

Every year Yancy talks of certain recruits families moving to Oxford. It's not like MSU fans make it up. Last year was Kailo's mom and boyfriend. I honestly can't remember the last MSU recruit's family who moved to Starkville. The yearly moves to Oxford don't pass the smell test but it is fool proof. Capitalism is a great tool.
He never de-committed, he was trying to buddy up with Brandon Bryant. He was trying to get an invite to tag along with BB this weekend in Starkville and of course had initially talked BB into taking on OV to Oxford on the 24th. Seems like Elijah and the crew got him back in line.
Exactly how Rod Taylor tried to get an invite to LSU this weekend when Speaks is in Baton Rouge. Our staff stopped talking to Epps a while back, and LSU never invited Rod Taylor even though he said multiple times he was taking an OV there.

Exactly, it doesn't take a genius to understand one doesn't bring in a recruit who is there primarily to persuade others to attend his choice of schools.

She is moving to Oxford, but she is not taking a job at Ole Miss, unless something changed the past few days. Sammie may have been trying to "make friends" on the visit, but I don't think it was Bryant, probably Green, but Green is going to be at State. I think OM flirted with Bryant before the dead period but he was solid State and he has a lot of work to do in the classroom. I'm not saying he won't or can't qualify, but I think Ole Miss looked at him as 2 large hills to climb and you have to pick your battles. He seems very under-rated and I wish we had been in on him earlier. It was a good find by state much like Epps he has flown under the radar.

Sure sounds like a sour grapes argument. Bryant has never been mentioned as a serious academic casualty by any MSU website to my knowledge. I doubt OM people know more about his academic situation than MSU people. Looks like you have been sold a bag or goods.
So she leaves her job at extension that she's had for a pretty long time to move to Oxford. I'm sorry but there's something to that. Doesn't matter if its at Ole Miss or not.
