"Slive received a $1 million bonus from the league in 2008-09, a period of time that saw him receive some $2.1 million in compensation from the conference. A year earlier, he was paid $650,688."

but yeah, there is no incentive for some shady dealings going on to make sure the SEC gets 2 teams competing in the BCS every year is there?

Hell, we arguably had the top 2 teams in the country in the SEC last fall.

for your organization, you're probably going to get a bonus.

When one SEC team plays for the title, the next best is probably going to be somewhere in the BCS. So what "shady dealings" are you refering to?

but its not like this is undeserving. He representsthe SECjust like any other pimp would and brings home some majormoney.

I just hope one day he pulls for us. The best way to do that is win football games and bring bowl money to the conference. More specifically BCS type money (just once in my life please). Or, a national championship in basketball (yeah, like that's gonna happen). Until then I don't think he'll be doing us any favors.

I say the bonus was about the multi-billion dollar deal with ESPN. It also further explain's Slive's bias towards propping up premier teams at MSU's expense for ESPN ratings.
