There was a 40 minute break between games and Jim Ellis missed the first three pitches of the game. How much longer Scott Stricklan must we accept this nonsense.
Hump you are wrong. As the lead broadcaster, Ellis controls when to go to commercial. Absolutely nobody can excuse Ellis for missing the first three pitches when you have a forty minute pregame show. He repeatedly does this.
He's a Polk fan. He mentions the early eighties a lot. He hates Greg Byrne. He bad mouths Cohen. I guess he hates Ellis because he didn't do the right thing and retire when we didn't hire Raffo. All I have to say to all those bitching about Ellis is "It's a Grand Slam for Masters!!!!". Is it possible that a lot, not all, of the bitching comes from guys that are used to watching baseball on TV? #1 anyone that watches Hailstate knows it isn't Ellis's fault. These commercial breaks are brought to you by the same people that give you such a great jumbotron experience in Football. #2 The rambling is the best part of a baseball radio broadcast. If not, it would be 20 minutes of talking over a 3 hour period. Harry Carey asking "How does a Mexican lose a ball in the sun?" or Vin Scully saying "Andre Dawson has a bruised knee and is listed as day-to-day (pause). Aren't we all?". That's what makes radio baseball great.Have y'all not caught on to this guy yet? Dudes a bear troll. There was a thread the other day where someone linked all the bs that he spews. Either he's a bear or the biggest negative and miserable poster on this board
