WR next year

For those that follow recruiting, what does it look like at WR next year? Guidry, Thomas, and Zuber are all gone. Of the others that have seen some action this year, only Mitchell and Williams return. Looking at the others currently on the roster that will be back next year, are any expected to contribute? Heath, Patterson, Ducking are coming in next year.

Should we be worried?

Thanks

Let me check my decision tree...

"Does question relate to the offensive side of the ball?"

Yes

"Yes, we should be worried"

WR next year looks really rough. We're going to need to move Payton to the slot.

WR: Mitchell
Slot: Payton
WR: Heath (if we keep him)

Backups you only have Austin Williams and Cam Gardner with experience. Hopefully Coach Napier can find someone in the portal. He's an excellent recruiter.

Considering the major contributions we got from those 3 guys I'm really freaking out that they won't be here next year to carry our passing attack. Especially Zuber. His loss is gonna set this program back a decade

Funny how he was productive the last 2 years at Kansas State but he's not this year.

Patterson ain't gonna be here. Ducking is a project, I don't expect anything from him. Heath will start most likely, with Mitchell and Payton. Williams will probably play. I would imagine Torber and Pruitt will play. I'm hoping for big things from the recruits Griffin and Walley, to say the least.

When you sign a good quarterback, the wide receiver recruits usually follow in the next class. Griffin and Walley have the credentials, I hope they pan out.

True, but:

2017: 51 catches, 510 yards, 4 TD's
2018: 52 catches, 619 yards, 5 TD's
2019: 14 catches, 211 yards, 2 TD's

Pretty big drop off. And we've only played 2 or 3 good defenses.

i'm almost positive some of those still fighting for moorhead are either on staff or relatives of those in the athletic building. out of conversations i've had in the outside message board world, i think those still in favor of moorhead and more time are maybe 1-50 fans.

I'm thinking it's more a matter of coaching and QB play. There's just no way the Big 12 is THAT bad.

Yeah, I mean not a fair representation but we are 0-1 vs the Big 12 this year. And Arkansas is as bad as anyone in the country on defense.

We got the typical hope that our highly rated JUCO WR will get here and dominate, but he'll probably be average.

With Rupert, it's everybody's fault but Moorhead.

If we continue with a single mindedness of purpose then the process will create the product. It's just that simple. We will have continuous improvement at that position through pursuit of excellence

Seriously. We couldn't give Guidry away to LSU now. Remember when we were worried we'd lose him? What would we do without those crucial drops each game.

This is how you do satire. Or not. I can't tell if it's mocking corporate jingoism that Joe likes to copy (in which case excellent job), or actually serious (in which case sheesh).

The experts have told me Brownlee is a system wr. That Heath and Duckling are way better. Seems funny Brownlee was JUCO offensive player of he year and caught more passes that our 2 commitments combined. The same experts that said Guidry was a big NFL talent although he was the 3td best wr on a ****** Hinds team.

He's getting basically zero interest according to 247. Surprised at 6-3 and 185 (assuming those measurements are close to accurate) and his production that nobody is interested. Guess he's relatively slow/

from what i've heard recently

Heath is lazy in the class room and will need a good "tutor" to stay wherever he goes. so even if he gets to State or UF he'll likely not be there long enough to make any kind of difference.

Definitely satire. I enjoy poking a little fun at Joe and at some of the ridiculous posters on here. We aren't losing much talent at that position so I assume we will be ok. I feel sure we will be as good as we were this year at least. Hard to get much worse.
