So Athena has been in roh for 4 years and now maya world is above her?
If im her I gotta wonder why I’ve been in purgatory all this time with Toni and Willow out they didn’t give me a shot at something that actually matters.
I think I read or maybe heard something that her lengthy time in ROH had something to do with her wrestling school. I don't know exactly how that worked, but I am pretty sure that was given as a reason without any more explanation.

Oh ok if it’s by her choice that makes sense

The more that I have thought about it, I think it heard it on one of the busted open radio shows. They were talking about Athena being ROH longer than she should have been, and someone, maybe Tommy Dreamer said something like “that’s because of her school,” and that was literally all that was said and they moved to a different topic with no follow up.

Forgot Raw was on early, just turned on and LA Knight is jobbing to the Usos again.

Sad “yeah” noise.

So what exactly is the "premium" part of NXT PLEs now that they are on CW with commercials during matches like a standard TV episode with match lengths that were roughly around the same length as a standard weekly episode? Is it the three hours part?

It seems as if the best kept "secret" is that Bayley will be heading to AEW once her current deal is up.
I think there is a good chance but Mercedes has been trying for a while and she re-signed anyway so I'll believe it when it happens. She seems like the type that will just accept whatever *hit sandwich they give her and say "thank you, can I please have a second helping?"

Okay, maybe I see why the WWE people gripe about that Cagematch site. I saw someone tweet that Night of Champions got a really poor score there, and I honestly thought it was pretty good overall. So I get it about this weekend, at least.

You're actually one of the very small few I see having liked it THAT much and I haven't read any of the Cagematch reviews. Now I've seen a whole lot of praise for Sami winning the title but the rest of the show wasn't all that highly regarded.

Dropkickd, which is another site where people can rate shows and matches but has a whole lot more users, has it rated a 3.3 out of 5, which on the Cagematch 10-point scale would put it at 6.6. The current Cagematch score is 6.33

6.33 is above the WWE main roster average for a PLE for this year. I wouldn't call that a poor score for WWE on Cagematch for how most people treat the ratings on there.

Cagematch defines a 6 as satisfactory. Is that poor? Well I don't think most people would consider satisfactory bad.

Is it a poor score for me? Yeah, because I treat it like a college grading scale. Anything in the 6 range (60-69 on a college grading scale) is a D grade. I think it's absurd to even consider a 6 out of 10 as being satisfactory.

I was actually surprised by how much I liked the WWE show, lol. It wasn’t close to the AEW one IMHO, but I think I posted here that it was my grocer’s E show in a couple years, I think k.

I think Sami keeps it for a little while. Punk likely returns Monday in Chicago and then goes to SD, possibly to feud with Cody for a few months. Sami's first feud could be Gunther, who he'd finally beat. Maybe Owens comes back afterward and there's another feud. I don't think Sami is a charity case here. Everyone around him from his NXT days had already made the jump to that top level, including his best friend. Why not Sami too?

Dynamite for this evening. Might be a tough viewership number due to the U.S. playing in the World Cup.

According to the AEW ticket update site on Bluesky they are at about 3,400 distributed for San Diego.

AEW Champion MJF vs. Mark Briscoe, which will kick off the broadcast.

New AEW TBS Champion to Be Crowned: Hikaru Shida vs. Kris Statlander vs. Persephoe vs. Harley Cameron vs. Queen Aminata vs. Maika - Survival of the Fittest.

Ya game is at 7 so unless USA gets up early dynamite probably will struggle.
Will have to go up big to get people to tune away, like 1-0 is basically nothing. 2-0 isn't exactly what I'd call big until late in a game. But once it gets to the knockout stage then big leads are few and far between.

NXT vs. AEW in Google Trends on Sunday. Top graphic is comparing search term "Forbidden Door" in blue vs. "Great American Bash' in red from Sunday-Monday. Second graph is the same time period comparing search term "AEW" in blue vs. "NXT" in red. I told it to insert full image but stil shows only a thumbnail in the post, but you can click on it to view larger.

NXT/GAB peaked at the beginning of the show and would be surpassed by FD within 15 minutes and by AEW within 30 minutes. That means 30-45 minutes of the AEW preshow was being searched for more than the NXT main show.

NXT steadily declined throughout the show while AEW steadily increased throughout the night peaking during the final hour,

An AEW PPV should be a bigger deal than a NXT PLE with a roster that I can probably name 4 people from right now. You're taking a Young Bucks victory lap over AEW performing better than Great American Bash on the CW after most of NXT's top talent have moved up.
