How bad was Seth Rollins’ promo last night? They were making fun of it on busted open radio today. Within 30 seconds the crowd was already chanting for Punk and in a couple more, they were chanting for Roman. Sounded terrible when they played it back.
Well it was Chicago so people chanting for Punk is the least surprising thing I'll ever read about any Chicago show, especially when said show is occurring with the worst kept secret out there that Punk was returning after being out for around 3 months.

They brought Iguana up a few times but he was never going to be a part of weekly content on the main roster. But the WWE audience knows his gimmick now which was likely the goal. If you're interested, check out AAA. If not, no huge deal.

AEW now offering 50% off tickets for All In. It's like every time they go to Wembley they do less and less people or something.

This is also what happens when wrestling isn't on fire across the board. Both companies are offering discounts more often now.

With venues as big as Wembley and what WWE runs, got to offer discounts when over 50% of people are saying they are having trouble affording gas and groceries.

As previously stated, entertainment is one of the first things people cut back on when struggling to make ends meet. Kind of hard to justify dropping triple to quadruple digits on wrestling tickets when you're having to resort to eating Dollar Tree ramen noodles for a meal.

Not to sidetrack but you still see Dunkin and Starbucks line wrapped around for 6 dollar lattes I get it’s not the same market but still

Check back in with me on this when you can go to a AEW/WWE tv taping for $6 with all expenses included. Shindies don’t even sell tickets that cheap.

So glad Jericho didn’t win tonight. The way that match was breaking down I just know it was LOLZJERICHO time. Ciampa has been great in this feud.

Takeshita and Fletcher should wrestle every week.

Sure but I don't remember being taken to an economics class when WWE was offering discounts lol. You wanted to dunk on WWE because less people were going to Mania (and Summerslam isn't looking great atm) but now that discounts are happening for Wembley, I'm seeing graphs about the economy. Didn't Meltzer say WWE fans are poor and AEW fans aren't and then you passed that valuable nugget of information here? I'm having fun with you on this but this is why you don't constantly dunk on something like ticket sales when you know All In is around the corner and less fans show up everytime AEW is at Wembley.

As I typed this Omega just became champion. TK better hope the UK really wanted Omega vs Ospreay instead of MJF vs Ospreay because taking MJF out of the main event of the biggest show of the year is a choice I guess.

They already did MJF vs. Ospreay in Wembley two years ago and MJF had the main event three years ago.

The UK fans bitched for weeks that they didn’t get a major Kenny singles match at the first All In and he wasn’t able to compete at the second England All In.

This is almost certainly the last chance that Kenny will be in the main event in Wembley because this is very likely his last hoorah as champ as I believe he’ll be retiring at the end of his current contract. MJF vs. Ospreay is something they can run at any England PPV as long as MJF doesn’t leave.

Helluva Dynamite last night. That’s how you do professional wrestling. Ciampa/Jericho was better than it should’ve been.

Fletcher/Takeshita was outstanding.

Main event was fantastic.

I admittedly am not the biggest Omega fan. He’s great in the ring but that catchphrase is pure cringe to me. But props to Kenny for going out there and putting on a classic.

The last part about TKO is my favorite.

Recently, I was feeling guilty about completely tuning out of WWE other than reading results, watching the occasional highlights, and stealing PLEs. The guilt was because my casual fan wife generally preferred WWE to AEW because WWE’s women’s division is better and that brand is what she grew up on.

I asked her if she missed it and wanted to watch again. Her response was …. “Nah. F TKO” so this caption hit extra hard for me.

As long as they’re running Saudi Arabia seemingly every other month, paying guys who take 0 bumps $60M a year and sandwiching short wrestling matches in between 7 minute ad segments with sponsored mats, aprons, railings, matches, etc., I’m out. I hate corporate greed and grift, and TKO takes it to a new level.

Ya Omegas catchphrase isn’t the best and his mic skills aren’t the best either but there’s a reason he’s called the best bout machine. And like dragon said if Wembley is clamoring for him he deserves one of his last main event title matches to be there.

No disagreement from me. If it ends up Omega vs Billy GOAT, they’ll tear the house down at Wembley.

Even before Will Ospreay even signed with AEW, Kenny vs. Ospreay in a passing the torch story is something I said needed to happen at All In. It just ended up getting postponed largely due to Kenny nearly dying from diverticulitis.

This actually might end up being the one the exceedingly few epic matches Kenny has left in his career. If he retires at the end of his current deal like I think he will, which likely only has 1 or 2 years left on it, then you can probably count on one hand how many of those "7 stars in the Tokyo Dome" type matches he has left in his career.

His best promo/character work was always as a heel. But he's at the stage of his career where no one really wants to boo him.

I was surprised by the title switch to Fletcher until I remembered the G1 is starting up this weekend in Chicago, so Takeshita is going to be gone for five weeks. Perhaps he'll have an appearance at Dynamite next week because the second day of the G1 isn't until next Saturday. But then he'll definitely be stuck in Japan until mid August because G1 show dates are like 4 times a week. On days when someone doesn't have a G1 match, they are involved in tag matches, so no rest days between G1 matches for him to get a short break to fly back to the US for something.

It is easy to tell Toni Storm loves playing her outlandish say anything character. But this Thekla, she might be really just a little bit insane, in a good way. The things that will get said in their feud will be ridiculous.

AEW will get pulled from TV if they don't have a quick trigger finger on the censor for a Toni Storm and Thekla live promo battle :ROFLMAO:

Also I very much appreciated the fact that AEW did a legit special stage for the show last night. Not like a prop here or there so they can say they put in the token effort. That was peak 1990s era special stage work.
