I don’t know about the whole TNA thing. I’d like to think there was room for a strong third promotion, but whatever TNA is trying just isn’t making me think it could be them.

Mission accomplished by WWE counter programming AEW...
  1. AEW Set the AEW PPV buys record
  2. Third largest gate in AEW history
  3. Produced one of the most highly regarded main events in all of wrestling history
  4. Produced one of the most highly regarded women's matches of all time, just months after the women in WrestleMania had to cut their matches short to make up time
  5. Hardly anyone watched and/or talked about AAA or NXT when it was airing
  6. The All In buy in show had 500,00 more people watch it on YouTube than the AAA show did
  7. The replay of the NXT show Saturday night on CW barely outdrew a TNA broadcast (for some reason #s for the live airing aren't available yet)
  8. Exposed NXT for being a minor league product to AAA by losing half the crowd compared to the AAA show
  9. Apparently pissed off people in NXT because they had to wrestle four to five hours after the show started

They drew remarkably well for their last PPV, Lockdown, but I suspect it was heavily papered. Regardless, 6.5K papered or not is still a really good number for them.

No wonder all the people you hear about not wanting to do jobs are ex-WWE, apparently acting like a child when being told to lose is pretty common over there.

THe Butcher of the former AEW tag team The Butcher and The Blade died after collapsing after his match at the Enjoy Wrestling show this weekend.

EDIT: Ringside News is a piece of **** and lied about the dying part. The rest is true per Enjoy Wrestling.

Remember when the El Grande Americano vs. Original El Grande Americano thing was hot?

Well the aftermath of it has been fumbled so poorly that Dom vs. El Grande Americano for the AAA title is a week from today and it barely registers on the radar in wrestling discussion.

I'm old enough to remember watching Bill Dundee every week on Memphis Wrestling. He was always one of my favorites.

Really sad to hear about the Butcher dying.
Always thought Tony K. could have done more with Butcher and the Blade in AEW.
Pretty wild that he had a huge following for his music career that didn't know about his wrestling, and vice versa.

Is Cody even allowed to have a singles match that doesn’t devolve into a bunch of various different forms of nonsense?

There is literally nothing WWE won't sell advertising on. Theory and Maxine were both wearing Arby's shirts. It may be time to give up wrestling again.
