This is neat, I wonder how they did this? They should do it at every venue where it’s possible at. I don’t think it will be many for a variety of reasons though. Most venues aren’t going to have that much vertical space with no seating being the major one.

I hadn't thought about it, but I've not read any WWE fan talking about flippy **** in about 18 months. Guess it makes sense now.

This is the perfect example of why I hate what WWE has done to wrestling. Somehow the notion that people want good wrestling on a wrestling show is considered a bad thing.

The in-ring is still the foundation of the industry because there’s no point in any of the story telling if it doesn’t result in a match!

Hulu is wholly owned by Disney, which owns ESPN. So Disney is now in business with both AEW and WWE.

EDIT: I was just informed that Hulu sold their Japanese operation to a Japanese company in 2014. Wonder how they were able to keep the Hulu name then?

WWE has seemingly wanted nothing to do with since TNA the tv show premiered. Used them to get their talent and to try to hurt AEW with a Wednesday night show. After the AMC premiere they basically just kicked them to the curb once it was clear the attempt was a failure. Can’t even manage to get TNA one measly tag team in a 14-team tag tournament despite being “partner.”

It's kind of sad. That whole Ibushi/Okada/Kenny/AJ Styles generation is about done. I'm glad I got to see them over here recently before all of them head off into the sunset.

AEW has been there for quite a while on New Japan World. I’m sure Hulu Japan pays more though

I contacted NOW Arena pretending to be interested in buying a suite for All Out so I can find out how many suites are left. Only 2 are left accounting for 35 combined tickets. AI tells me their total suite capacity is 1340, so if that is true then that means they have distributed another 1305 tickets from suite sales.

It’s hard for me to get into AAA b/c 75% of the roster I’m unfamiliar with.

That was at least AEWs best thing was ex ROH/WWE/NJPW so you had casuals and non casuals familiar with the roster

There's some good talent there but without WWE sending people over from the other brands/shows it's pretty lacking in depth. Konnan and AAA leadership ran off a ton of people.

A taped Club WWE exclusive show perhaps? Did they not see how bad their Raw viewership was from the most recent taped show on Netflix?

Also, I thought the whole point of counter programming AEW as to hurt AEW's business? AEW sold out NOW Arena. If this doesn't air live it's going to do basically nothing to hurt AEW's PPV business. It's going to anger fans that were looking forward to watching it live. It's going to let positive AEW and negative WWE discourse dominate all the wrestling talking points outside of WWE's state media like Busted Open.
