I just tuned to ESPN at halftime of Bama/Tenn to see what they had to say about the game tonight. When I tuned to CH 206 it was blacked out!!! I checked the regular and HD channel and both were blacked out in my local area which is Starkville. I have NEVER seen ESPN blacked out. I've got Directv on the phone now and they have no clue! Anyone else in the area got this problem???

They just told me that the leagues and teams have it blacked out. I can't believe that ESPN would have their flagship channel off the air on a Saturday afternoon. Makes no 17ing sense!!!!!!

Its still on in NC.

If any of you get HD channel 73 try that. It sounds like directv is having a technical issue.

Directv said that the ESPN feed was down and that we should be seeing SOMETHING on their channel. The ESPN website shows that we should be seeing Miami vs.Clemson. They say it's an ESPN screw up.

I checked the ESPN "Contact Us" page http://proxy.espn.go.com/espn/contact and sent them a text. Doubt they'll get it. Anyone else what to try to reach them?

Ok, Directv says that ESPN has moved their main feed from Ch 206 to 210 for the Clemson game. When the Clemson game is over, they SHOULD move the feed back to 206 and have the MSU game in HD......they said SHOULD!!!

I'm about to head to Davis Wade now. I hope I have a game recorded on the DVR when I get home!!

It might have something to do with the ABC regional broadcasts.

If Miami and Clemson are being shown on the local channels there, then it won't be shown on ESPN. If that is the case, ESPN should be showing the alternate game of Michigan vs. Penn State right now and not a black screen.

The State-Florida game is a national broadcast and SHOULD switch on at 6:30 CT. No blackout rules could possibly apply to that.

The ABC regional broadcast is on a local channel and the other game is actually showing on an ESPN Alt channel on dish. I don't think our game is blacked out.

I've seen this same thing happen this season before with other ABC regional games. We are the ESPN night game.

Nobody at any cable company will know anything. It reminds me of the time I called ESPN because they had our basketball record wrong the day before Selection Sunday. No way the guy I talked to knew anything about it or could do anything.
