SVP played the Cam interview and commented that he didn't believe him. Said there are things he knows but he can't share, because he "... can't break the news."

WTF is ESPN waiting for?

I think the feds can "ask" their brass politely to STFU. Which request would be followed by the ESPN brass's favorite response, "And exactly what is in it for us if we sit on this information?" Followed by the feds offering, "If you don't F up our ongoing investigation, we will see to it that you get to break this MFer and that you get the juicy ****."

But if all that is legit, ESPN is playing a very dangerous game. TMZ could blow the roof off this MFer tomorrow and there would be the werl wy leaduh looking like Time when Drudge broke the story on sideways dick hosing his man juice on chunkystein's blue dress.

Or maybe ESPN somehow has the juiciest of the juicy info and is waiting to release the bombshell the day before the game? If they are the only source with a loud microphone who is privy to that information, they are probably sitting on it to suit their own interests. Releasing the bombshell the day before the game means they get to broadcast the the most watched college football game ever - everybody loves a good soap opera...

They bid WAY too much to screw up the games. After the games, all bets are off.

All media outlets have standards for what they can report and what they can't. Whatever SVP knows probably doesn't meet ESPN's fact-checking standards.

Or maybe it violates some other rule, perhaps against reporting a source who objects to the info being reported. ("********" Sincerely, J. Bond)

I know he would show up down there at times, and would always go out of his way to talk about them when doing SC, and I thought I remember someone saying his gf/wife was an AU grad. I am sure he made some friends/contacts down on the plains....

quick search, I couldn't find the date... I'm guessing it has.

Point is, even a simple comment like that could cast doubt and affect voting if the deadline hasn't passed. If SVP thinks he's lying, that would be a good way to plant the seed of doubt in a few minds.

If the deadline has passed, maybe he is being forced to wait until after the announcement?

Maybe he's sitting on his former co-worker's confirmation of the admission out of respect for her request to keep it under wraps.

Maybe she confided in him what she knows of the Newton's dirty deeds. And he promised to sit on it until the investigation was complete. Sounds good anyway.
