WTF, my tickets are coming in and they suck

Ok, so I donate about 5-600 bucks a year to the bulldog club. Not quite at the 50th percentile. I never claimed to be Leo Seal. I don't live in MS so buying season tickets is not really an option. But I bought tickets to three games this year. I called in the moment the tix were available and on sale. Two games have showed up. Memphis, I'm in the damn endzone.... Memphis? really? that's where our ticket office is allocated seats? No 17ing wonder people aren't buying through the MSU ticket office. I wanted to support our ticket office, but I can likely find much better seats if I simply buy through Memphis.

And for the Egg bowl, I called at 8 am the morning those individual tickets were available and I'm in the nose bleed section, which, btw the website has listed as visitor! I recognize that I'm not a season ticket holder... Ok...fine. But I had much better seats to the Gator Bowl and they were cheaper than to the damn Egg Bowl. So, anyways, I'm let that slide, but why in the hell did memphis give us tickets in the endzone and/or why doesn't state demand something comparable to the seats we offer our visitors (e.g., between the 10-35 yard line, lower section)?

I can't wait to see what garbage I get for the Arkansas game.

I can't tell if you are joking or if you really don't understand.

The school sets aside the vast majority of tickets for season ticket sales. That's because they make more money for less hassle. So you automatically go behind ANYONE buying season tickets. Which we just happened to sell out this year, so that really limits the single game ticket availability. So now you are low priority in an already bad pool of tickets. There was no way you were getting good seats. Honestly, you should consider yourself lucky that you are getting in to the stadium at all. You can StubHub some but you will probably be paying more.

As for Memphis, it's their stadium! Of course they are going to stick us in the endzone. I don't understand where people get off thinking that Memphis should have so little pride that they would put us on the 50 yard line and let us ring cowbells. That some stupid *** ****. If it makes you feel better though, the Liberty Bowl really doesn't have bad seats. I'd rather not be in the endzone but if I have to be the Liberty Bowl is not a bad place for it.

I'm not being sarcastic or joking, but I'm also not jumping up and down excepting the process to change. I'm basically just bitching. I'm simply pointing out that it sucks when you want to support your ticket office (instead of stub hub or the other university), but the way you do that is by getting seats in the endzone. I never said Memphis should feel privileged by our presence. You're right - They can put us where'er they want to and can take away cowbells and even forbid the color maroon. I got that. It doesn't change the fact that its crappy for several reasons. Memphis ALWAYS has plenty of seats and doesn't need to stick the visitors in the endzone when they buy through their university.

As for the way it shakes out with season tickets: YES, I understand. Good tickets go to season holders. BUT, I am still gonna say it sucks (again, not that there is any way it can be different), that an alumni traveling from several states away can't go to the ball game and get quasi-decent tickets even if buying them the first moment they are available. I am thrilled we sold out. I wouldn't want that to change at all. But in the spirit of SP, I am going to complain, if for no other reason than I just don't like my damn seats.

You are completely off base here. No lower level visitor section comes anywhere near the 35 at DWS. As far as Memphis, of course they put us in the endzone. That's completely normal and understandable. I've been to all 12 SEC stadiums as well as many non-conference road games. Trust me, this is normal.

I'm flying in for the LSU game and have quarterdeck seats (chairbacks). For the Gator Bowl I had Club Level seats. When you don't buy season tickets, use a secondary source. I only make one game a year if I'm lucky, and I would rather spend the extra money for good seats than take pot luck from the left overs at the ticket office. As has been said, get over it.

next time just buying season tix and selling the ones you don't want so that you have better seats. And, btw, we don't really have an end zone to put visitors in. Obviously we wouldn't put them in the endzone stands we have due to the students having that section.

that Mississippi returned. If they hadn't returned any tickets you wouldn't have been able to buy any tickets at all for that game without buying season tickets. And you're in the end zone for Memphis because, surprise, they give visitors the worst seats in the stadium. Almost everyone puts visitors in the end zone and/or the nosebleeds. The only reason there are any visitor seats on the sideline lower deck is because the SEC mandates a small number to be there.

. . .add $50 a seat to Bulldog Club and you have decent seats for less than you are spending now.

I really, really wanna be cool like you. Approval from anonymous posters on message boards is important to me.**

You can disagree with my point all day long. Hell, you can call it "stupid as ****." But your post is worthless. I was trying to open a discussion about choosing between getting good seats or supporting the University's ticket office. I voiced my frustration with the placement of seats. And I've been reading and posting on this board since it started. Not worried about being "cool."

because I was told I should feel "lucky" to have seats at all.

That reminded me of the crap I would hear at genespage. The particular thread was about how "lucky" I should feel because we got Croom. I thought it was a bad hire and I got called everything from a racist to an Ole Miss troll. I left and never went back. I like this board because even if you are wrong, you can post - so I made that comment, because clearly nobody sees my point, but that doesn't make me sorry for posting it. I still hate my seats.

For the Egg Bowl, you are damn lucky to have seats at all. If Mississippi had sold their allotment, you wouldn't have any. Sorry that it sucks for you, but that's just the way it is. People who want to but tickets to all home games are ALWAYS going to get priority over people who just want to go to one.

You understand the MSU ticket office doesn't make a profit off away game sales, right? It's not going to hurt them one ounce if you buy tickets to a road game through another source.
