The last two calls were perfect. Both with half *** execution would have worked. Both were wide open. ???? damn.

A lot of people thought the same for the Bulldogs in that game. Whether the calls were "perfect" or not, it didn't work. But it's way in the past and we won 9 games this season. That's pretty damn good, tho it ain't "perfect". During the game, the comparison did enter my mind. Then I saw this "Croomesqe" post and I wanted to say how it looked to me.

Each side has 11 on the field. Once a running play is called you have nine on offense trying to block 11 on defense. I like the odds every now and then for the defense. Especially if they are equally effective in their execution.

An apt comparison would be the LSU game couple of years ago when Lee wanted to be Peyton. But Croom's O always seemed to have this problem of 17ing it up once they were inside the 5 yd line (see the Maine game formicrocosm of Croom's offense or more correctly, MFin Woody's offense)
