Deuce McAllister Nissan has filed for chapter 11...and that Nissan Motor Credit is pursuing them for around $900K. They have attempted to seize the supposedly $5M in inventory to secure the debt. Sounds like somebody didn't pay the floorplan.
More than likely, Deuce is insulated in this. He prob doesn't have a whole lot of his own money in it. When it was formed, there were some guys in Slidell I think that bankrolled it.

Kent Hull had to do the same thing a few years back. he was a silent minority partner in a business deal that went bad.

You're right. He doesn't have much stake AND it's the dealership being sued, not Deuce.
Deuce is more or less a "marketing campaign" for these dealerships. Remember Deuce Imports? He never had any stake in that business. He is a name to help sell cars.

do people really buy a new vehicle just because of a name on a sign? As ridiculous as I think some of the car ads are on t.v. today, they can have a bare assed chimp doing the commercial with his name on the sign outside and I am still going to buy the best priced vehicle I can, even from a bare assed chimp dealership. I will then do my homework and take it to be serviced at the best possible place but a new vehicle is a new vehicle.

The aforementioned are dubmasses. In my lifetime I have met one serious case of each. Both are 17ers that no one wants to be around.

That's just a Donald Trump style bankruptcy. Not a personal bankruptcy.. but just on a business venture that has failed. It's better to cut it loose that way than to sink a ton of your own money into it and it still possibly go under in this economy.TheBigDA said:
