I like this schedule.

1) SEC team to start the season off and at home (not Alabama in Atlanta)
2) 2 bye weeks
3) and TCU and Baylor spread out by 5 weeks and both at home

This is as close to perfect B12 scheduling that you could hope for...home, away, home, away....

You guys are dead on with all of that. Another lucky break may be the good spacing between the more manageable Big 12 teams. Prevents our team from having to face too many heavyweights all in a row like this year.

We are playing Oklahoma and Baylor late. Wondering if they are thinking we are going to be one of the better teams in the big 12 next year. They tried to back load this year

Well, where we are, there is something to be said for having more of the "even" match-ups at home and the underdog games on the road as we had more of this year.

If we fail to pull a home upset against OU, TCU or Baylor, and assuming we beat Kansas and ISU, we have to win 3 among:

Oct. 1 Kansas State
Oct. 15 @ Texas Tech
Oct. 29 @ Oklahoma State
Nov. 12 @ Texas

just to have a winning conference record. Were we a legit contender, it might be better with the 2016 breakdown, but as a mediocre team we might be better off playing the majority of those teams at home as we did this year.

The only complaint is both byes are before the 2nd conference game. After the 2nd bye, it's 8 straight conference games. Other than that, it looks pretty good.

If you look at it, there really only 4 real road games. The neutral site vs BYU ain't really a neutral location. It is kind of like playing BAMA in Atlanta. Yeah that was a neutral location. What is it an hour from Tuscaloosa to Atlanta and 10 hours from Morgantowm? Yeah reak neutral.

Loos like WVU has a good shot at being 5-0 and ranked when TCU comes to Morgantown. I'm looking forward to both Missouri and BYU.

Missouri will obviously have a new HC in his first game @ WVU, BYU often seems to start the season strong but fades. 3-0 going into KSU very likely; toss up on whether they will have a new coach also.

Can we get by TxTech again? Hope so. Yep, 5-0 start very possible; but you know what happened the last time we started 5-0.
