WVU and Kansas ONLY teams left off EVERY first team all-Big 12 choice!

Well, if WVU’s football team doesn’t have a chip on its shoulder after reading the Athlon way-too-early 2021 All-Big 12 football selections then they are beyond help when it comes to motivation.

NO Mountaineer is listed on the first team offense, defense or special teams! Only Kansas also is given that same disrespect. The other 8 Big 12 teams all have first team selections. Does Athlon think WVU is THAT bad? All the WVU fans bragging about Neal Brown's work at WVU are THAT wrong?

Not even running back Leddie Brown! He is on the second team. Behind Iowa State’s Breece Hall and Texas’ Bijan Robinson.

Dante Stills, who sent tremors through opponents as a defensive lineman last season, is relegated to second team, too. Behind TCU’s Ochaun Mathis, Iowa State’s Will McDonald and Oklahoma’s Perrion Winfrey and Isaiah Thomas.

WVU’s Akheem Mesidor is second team defensive lineman, too. Alonzo Addae is second team safety, behind Baylor’s Jalen Pitre and Iowa State’s Greg Eisworth.

WVU wide receiver Winston Wright is buried on the third team offense, as is center Zach Frazier and lineman Doug Nester. Wright gets a double-dissing by being put on the FOURTH team specialists as a kick returner.

Third team defense includes WVU linebacker Josh Chandler-Semedo.

WVU safety Sean Mahone is listed on the fourth team defense.

It’s up to the Mountaineers to prove Athlon way, way wrong. Starting September 25 at Oklahoma it’s put-up-or-shut-up time for Coach Neal Brown’s charges.

Do they Trust The Climb or prove Athlon right? I can’t wait to find out.

WVU is getting no respect. It’s time to earn it and knock the uppity Athlon off its phony pedestal!

Could be because none deserve first team. WVU has a lot of youth and no QB.

Kansas, well they are Kansas.

Two five win regular seasons in a row, an incredible amount of players leaving, not sure why someone would expect any first team consideration.

You have to prove it on the field.

Right on cue I go on a heater and show oldielocks what it’s like to know something about hoops. Then he turns yellow belly and backs down from our bet when I call his bluff.

Not sure why you're even here much less a fan. Go hop on the Dana train in Houston. I hear he is killing it at 4 a season.

This is but an OPINION.
Mine is that this publication is not worth the price to read it. If enough folks cease making a purchase, sales will drop, and, just maybe, they will go belly up and float down the gloomy river of insignificance.
We can only hope.
I do not invest, and really never have, in such biased opinion pieces. Money is far too precious to waste it on trash like this.

But...but...this can't be right!! The pollyannas on this forum keep telling me that Social Justice Neal is recruiting an NFL level team and the hoard of players who dumped the Mountaineers were slugs!!! We'll show 'em with a top of middle 7-5 record...if we beat Long Island.

AGREE 100% WITH YOUR POST. IT'S ALL JUST WHITE NOISE TRYING TO MAKE MONEY. COME SEPT. 4 IN MARYLAND I'LL START PAYING ATTENTION AGAIN.

Only Frazier is on that level. The rest of WVU..................no. Dante was a disappointment last year.
