Just as I discussed a short while ago, now it has hit WVU and negatively impacted the basketball program:

Mar. 23—MORGANTOWN — According to West Virginia athletic director Shane Lyons, the athletic department has "looked into " allegations of death threats toward a WVU men's basketball player following the Mountaineers' 75-72 loss against Syracuse on Sunday.

Hours after the second-round loss in the NCAA tournament, WVU senior guard Taz Sherman posted on his official Twitter account that he had received threats.

"Getting death threats and telling me you gonna kill me and my family is also not a part of sports, " Sherman tweeted.

Later, Sherman added, "Sadly, most of 'em from West Virginia."

and now:

Taz Sherman to enter NBA draft process

hmm, I'm sure the social media attacks played no role in his departure....

Very likely this was embarrassed Ohio State fans trying to create a look at who else does this narrative

You're hearing "sounds" on a message board again, TrollVanD!ckead? Perhaps, you should put your psychotherapist on speed dial.

Stop the 4th grade insults hurling! Let's be outraged and appalled that any college player, including WVU's Taz Sherman, is subjected to such evil behavior! Go back to your 4th grade playground and argue with each other. The rest of us are concerned about death threats to college players over a basketball game, for God's sake!

Don't know what TVZ did to you but you throw that accusation around too much. People don't believe you anymore.
Unless you call TVZ Daddy I am not him.

EVERYBODY knows that you're TrollVanZandt, peckerhead. Only one person on here doesn't use a question mark when he asks a question, and that's you using 35+ different handles. You'd better logoff, as the Taz investigation is likely closing in on you now.

Coming all out. Being too defensive.

Obviously the world has gone crazy CFE. Cannot understand why the mods would allow this childish trolling behavior-cant even discuss anything here.

If I was one of the investigators, some of these trolls would be a good place to start investigation this horrid behavior.

Where is FBI on this? Would they be active if the threat is before game and involve point shaving? They are not worth a **** if they are not going to get involved in threatening amateur athletes. Was there ever a disposition in the threats to the kicker.

As wrong as this is, you’re never gonna stop this kind of thing. It’s the way it is these days.

Well my take is: to remember the actual fans that show up at the home games and on the road and actually support the team are the real fans. Not make the mistake that a bum hiding behind a computer screen making threats is an actual fan.

Believe Taz was entering the draft anyway so you go ahead and pretend this wasthe reason if it makes you feel better. For somebody who bitches about players and coaches on here non stop you would think this would be a lesson for you.
