I hope he goes and makes room for somebody that gives a damn about the team...and then enjoys playing for an Italian team. Over hyped.

He does have that option just as long as he doesn't sign with an agent
They tell him he won't be drafted. Only thing working against WV is if he believes he can get better faster in the D League. Doesn't get paid for WV and cannot make money off his name.

College basketball players who declare for the N.B.A. draft will be allowed to hire agents after two N.C.A.A. boards adopted a series of reforms to the sport’s rules

Players who declare for the N.B.A. draft but are not selected will be allowed to return to their college teams. Under previous rules, players with college eligibility remaining who wanted the option of returning to college could not hire an agent and had to withdraw from the N.B.A. draft well before it took place.

If that is the case he is probably gone.

An agent will advise him to sign a contract.
Better coaching
No limits on number of practices
Only has to worry about basketball

The G League and the NBA are saying their level of coaching is better than the college game.
Especially for bigs.
WV doesn't use their bigs to space the floor.

Quitter?

You are not in position to make that judgment. Konate wants to be a NBA player. At least a professional.
Even in Europe because of the bigger lane a 6-9 player who cannot shoot is worthless.
For Konate to play professionally he needs a 18-25 foot shot.
Needs to be able to play off a pick and roll.
Konate at WV has not learned either.
Konate has to make a selfish decision.
I would make the same choice if I was him.

If people aren't living for themselves who are they living for.

You?
Sounds like you are the one who is selfish because you think Konate owes you something.
Konate doesn't owe you ****

I’m happy he’s considering leaving. He was a cancer to the team chemistry all year. WVU will be better without him. With Oscar coming, and Culver, it was debatable if Konate would even start. The kid can rebound and block shots. That’s it. He’s not NBA talent. His best option is to leave early to play in Europe or Italy.
