Here's one article discussin ESPNs streaming future: https://awfulannouncing.com/espn/dont-be-surprised-if-more-content-moves-from-cable-to-espn-in-the-near-future.html In this article from the Financial Times about Disney’s streaming strategy, there’s an interesting note about the future of ESPN+ and the plans that Bob Iger and Kevin Mayer had for it. We’ve already started to see this with new carriage deals that ESPN has inked with college conferences, guaranteeing that a whole bunch of games would air exclusively on ESPN+. It would not be surprising if like in some of the other college deals, the ACCN includes streaming rights, and they probably also wrote that into the deal for tier 1 and 2 rights as well: This was from the launch of the ACCN-- https://awfulannouncing.com/espn/espn-accnx-football-acc-network.html The upcoming August 22 launch of the ACC Network has plenty of implications on the TV side, especially with three games there on opening weekend and with many big providers still without deals to carry the network.
