Texas will take the Oklahomas, TCU, Baylor, UCF, and 5 or so other schools and start anew with the programs that can hang in the new slimmer P5 Division ( minus 20 or so deadweights, WVU included )

In case you haven't noticed, WVU's athletic budget is among the top 30 of the nation. No way that we will ever be left out of a P-5 conference. It's much more likely that the P-5's will split entirely from the G-5's before anything in your ill conceived little scenario ever plays out. There has even been speculation that the current P-5's may reform into four 16 team mega conferences and break away from not only the G-5s, but also leave the NCAA altogether and take all of the TV monies with them. On the bright side for you, whenever the split does occur, you will once again have a meaningless little championship to play for.

G-5 Schools that would have welded WVU's no defense playing *** in 2018:
UCF, Boise St., Army ,UAB , Appy St., Ohio U., Cincinnati, Nevada, and maybe Marshall, if one party had enough courage to schedule the contest!
I think the list is probably a bit longer. Off the top of my head, Utah State would have definitely placed a hurting on them.

My error for the omission of the Aggies, wouldn't even need the Olson brothers to crush WVU.
Buffalo might have made it a clean sweep of WVU's revenue-producing sports, had HolgyDrunk scheduled the Bulls in 2018.
Marshall coach for the last 8 years, a WVU alum, and doesn't even get a sniff at the current wvu opening. Not even a mention by anyone as a possibility. Poor Doc.

What does it matter, Slow Head? WVU won't be No. 1 whether it continues to be a middling Big 12 team or a member of the Group of 5, and you keep posting that being No. 1 is all that matters. Speaking of being the top dog, you wouldn't know No. 1 if it hit you between the crow's feet above your eyes during your morning sponge bath.
