this year. I say yes. Huggs kicking *** again. Has shown he isn't afraid of getting rid of the less-than-student-maybe- athletes that populate college basketball today.

1. I'll be happy to have a winning season
2. I'll count it as a plus win to make the NCAA
3. I'll be naked and streaking down I-79 for a sweet 16 or further.

Huggins coaching philosophy failed miserably last year- he needs to worry more about getting skilled athletes and letting them itilize their talents than trying to control young mens every move.

You mean the second winningest basketball coach in WVU history against the toughest schedules in WVU history?

This team stays healthy the ncaa is a foregone conclusion, the juco guys and McCabe contribute from 3 this year, not making it past the sweet 16 would require an upset. No matter what buckeye girl says. Both point guards now in second year, size and strength and endless motors underneath, length and athleticism and even according to huggs who is hard on them shot making in the middle. Enough that we dont even need to press alot, it a couple newcomers can spread the floor from 3, McCabe can make.his open looks especially on kickouts which should be plentiful because our offensive rebounding should return to being dominant, and a team that plays for one another. They will improve greatly as the year goes so if they start well, look out

Haven’t played one game. How the hell do you know anything about this team?

It is very easy to get optimistic about this team looking at the talent.

But ... they are still young and haven’t played together all that much ... yet.

Nevertheless, things are looking bright and I will keep my shades handy.

It's called a prediction. Kind of what fans of a team do in the preseason. Another low IQ post from our token Pitt guy.

Hey it’s the local Big12 homer geek showing up out of nowhere. Wait I’m sorry 5-0 has another handle. Hey did ya hear Delpanther is calling me a hoopie on Lair because I don’t hate WVU. Yet jerkoffs like you act like your 8 yrs old haha. You’re jealous. Admit it!!!

3,2,1.........GO!!!

Still waiting for you on Lot ya geek.

No one here is jealous of an asshat snowflake like you. I feel sorry for you. So Gregory, if you only have one account, you are not on the lot. Not sure why you feel the need to lie other than it is your nature.

Thought this was going to be about women's basketball.

Women's team has a chance.

Regarding the men's

Have to get through non conference. The team is somewhat inexperience. Huggins brought back 6? Players from last year.
2 of those aren't 20 minutes guys IMO in Harler and Routt.

Could face an uphill climb because they start slow.
Will be hard for WVU to win more than 10 games in the Big 12.
Without Jevon Carter WVU has never finished above 500 in the Big 12.
Unless McBride becomes that player early I am thinking NIT or First 4 for WVU in 2019-2020.

But 2020-2021 I think WVU will be a force again in the Big 12

Look it's the Texas guy who thinks he knows everything about WVU. I guess you got off your couch and didn't pull the trigger over yet another disappointing season of being overrated.

Who will be Texas next football coach?

He sure acts like an expert on all things WVU. If he is not Keaton, he must be his father. I think we will be a lot better than last year for several reasons. We have 4 starters back from the end of the season, who all average double figures in scoring over the last 6 games or so. They played together overseas this summer, which gave them time to bond. Addition by subtraction. We will see a marked improvement in the defensive intensity of the hold overs. Add in a McDonald's all american with a high motor which will rev up the others. As great as Carter was, he really was not a true point guard and took a long time to settle into that role. We now have two true point guards. Youth at the point and depth up front are my biggest concerns. If Gabe gets his waiver, that will help. The Big 12 will not have any real bad teams like the other major conferences but the top is thin and lacks the usual depth.

So you have two accounts (which makes you a liar)? No one made fun of me on the lot. Someone thought it would be funny to name a WVU bar in NC Still 5-0. Puppet and I act like an 8 year old? I would leave you alone, but it so fun to mess with you snowflake Pitt fans. Loved your monster thread about that mean Pitt fan. 0 responses LOL. Will we see you in Cleveland since 2 of your teams are playing?

No way we lose more than 5 games in the Big XII. So, figure 13-5 plus the non-conference slate.

WAY over 20.

Jevon Carter is your only NBA player.
Without NBA talent you will have to be a senior lead team like Kansas State was last year.

Should show more respect to Jevon Carter

Only thing I know is Texass will suck yet again. They truly have become the over hyped laughing stock of college athletics.

They all have been one and done bigs.
Isaiah Taylor is the exemption but he is a fringe NBA player.
Taylor played for Shaka in his first season and Shaka had his best year while at Texas.

Don't know why Texas is brought into this conservation.
It is about WVU and high expectations for the upcoming season.

WVU can't screw themselves early by losing OOC.
Anymore than 5 losses they could have issues come March.

Not going to win more than 10 games in the Big 12.
Too many teams that can beat you every night and you have to play each on their home floor.

With 2-4 losses in OOC
You could still sneak into the tournament with a 8-10 record

I respect Jevon and he is an excellent NBA player but he came into the program as a shooting guard not a point guard. We don't have NBA talent? We had a freshman who average a double double last year and an incoming freshman who is MAA. We will be fine and will finish ahead of UT.

It is going to be a long basketball season.
Truthfully only person you have to blame is yourself.
Kansas won't even wln 13 games in the Big 12.

You’re right, Kansas won’t. We will sweep them.

We are going to be a much improved version of the team that BEAT Texas Tech in the Big XII tourney last year.

Is that the same team they was ran off the court by Coastal Carolina.
Your problems weren't fixed at the end of the year.

Yet they play the same position and when on the court together hurt your offense and defense.

Oscar and Culver playing together on the floor is one of the keys.
How fast does that happen?

K.State is being picked 9th by every publication including Big 12 coaches. K. State is last years news.

WVU has all the pieces to make a run at every team above them.

They are a solid team in the Backcourt.

Where WVU is weak.

Only team I think you could say that doesn't have much is TCU but they have maybe the best scorer in the Big 12 in Desmond Bane

No, it was not. The fact that this is your reply tells me you know nothing about our team. Culver didn’t play to start that game because he screwed up and the rest of the team was pissed off and basically didn’t care. That game was an anomaly.

Thus endeth the lesson.

But Texas Tech cared in the Big 12 tournament.

Looks like you want to take the good without the bad

Plus Grand Canyon gave you a game. They were the worst team Texas played all year last year.

I don't think I'm being overly optimistic in expecting at least a 20 win season and a NCAA bid. Everything else is gravy.

TVZ is bucky's daddy. He knows all. Bucky just thinks he knows. TVZ a supposed Texas fan that hangs on a mountaineer board 98% of the time. TVZ knows WVU better than Huggins knows WVU.

Without Jevon Carter, WVU never in the BXII won...ha, you are talking about 3 seasons ever & framing that as if WV has been in that league for decades

WV has far surpassed what TX has done in the BXII since 2012
