(April 14, 2022) – The No. 24-ranked West Virginia University baseball team begins a three-game, Big 12 Conference series against No. 3 Oklahoma State on Friday night at Wagener Field at Monongalia County Ballpark.</p><p></p><p>The series, which runs from April 15-17, features start times of 6:30 p.m., ET on Friday, 4 p.m., on Saturday and 1 p.m., on Sunday.</p><p></p><p>Tickets to all three games are still available at WVUGAME.com, by calling 1-800-WVU GAME, at the Mountaineer Ticket Office inside the WVU Coliseum or on game day at the ballpark's box office. Notably, all reserved seats have been sold for Saturday’s contest, while standing-room only tickets are still available for purchase.</p><p></p><p>Friday is Trivia Night, as well as Friday Night Happy Hour, with half-off beverages from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Fans also can play Baseball Bingo for a chance to win prizes. Saturday is Family Day, featuring four tickets and a $10 concession voucher for just $25. The first 500 fans in attendance also will receive a Jedd Gyorko bobblehead. Sunday is Kids’ Day, which features a Kids Zone, inflatables (weather permitting) and Mr. Twister, the balloon animal artist. Kids also can run the bases and grab autographs from the team after the game and receive trading cards of the 2022 Mountaineers.</p><p></p><p>Live stats of each game can be found on WVUsports.com. All three games will air live on Big 12 Now on ESPN+ and can be heard on the Mountaineer Sports Network on 100.9 WZST-FM, as well as various affiliates throughout the state, the WVU Gameday App and WVUsports.com. Additionally, Friday and Sunday’s games can be found on SiriusXM Channel 375.</p><p></p><p>Junior right-handed pitcher Jacob Watters (2-1, 3.38 ERA) gets the start on the mound for the Mountaineers on Friday night, while the Cowboys counter with right-hander Justin Campbell (4-1, 3.40 ERA). On Saturday, sophomore left-hander Ben Hampton (5-2, 3.02 ERA) goes against Oklahoma State’s right-hander Victor Mederos (3-1, 5.68 ERA), before fifth-year senior right-hander Zach Bravo (3-0, 5.20 ERA) pitches against OSU’s right-hander Bryce Osmond (2-1, 4.19 ERA) on Sunday.</p><p></p><p>WVU (21-10, 5-1 Big 12) is 12-20 all-time against Oklahoma State. The squad played four times last season, with the Cowboys winning three of them. Of note, OSU hasn’t played a game in Morgantown since April 15, 2018.</p><p></p><p>Last time out, West Virginia earned an 8-4 win over Penn State on April 12, in University Park, Pennsylvania. The Mountaineers jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the first inning before breaking the game open with a six-run third.</p><p></p><p>All nine hitters in the lineup recorded at least one hit in the victory. Junior outfielder Victor Scott II led the way with three hits – two for extra bases – two RBI and two runs scored, while senior outfielder Austin Davis, the reigning Big 12 Player of the Week, went 3-for-5 with a pair of runs scored. Sophomore catcher McGwire Holbrook also drove in a pair of runs.</p><p></p><p>The victory marked WVU’s sixth in a row.</p><p></p><p>The Mountaineers are 103-56 at Wagener Field at Monongalia County Ballpark since it opened in 2015, including 10-1 this season.
