WVU picked to finish 6th in Big 12. Who can blame them? It's who we are so far.

If you want respect then you have to do the deed.

Win the damn Big 12 title! Or at least make the Big 12 title game. You can't meander in the middle of the standings year after year and then whimper that you don't get no respect.

Earn it. Then you're get it.

Alabama gets respect because the Tide earned it.

So why didn't WVU get the Monongah High QB to be their coach? After all, he was on the staff at one time. They let the Jaws-sized fish get away.

Saban was a much better answer than Nehlen, Rich, Bowden, Carlen, Stewart or Neal Brown!

Because of threads like this is the reason no one respects you

You have to earn it. Bring the juice to this message board
Your threads suck. Not earning it.

Eh, I'm thinking more like fifth place. Oklahoma and Iowa State are clearly at the top, followed by Texas, Oklahoma State, and WVU. TCU is usually overrated these days, and Baylor, Texas Tech and the two sunflower state schools shouldn't scare anybody.

I really hope people will just let your threads die on the vine. Quit trying to instigate crap CFE and learn how to post and respond like a reasonable person.

To claim to be someone in their 80's, you have the maturity of someone around 8. Let your age show wisdom in your postings, not your lack of it.

TCU will be 6-6 or they will be really good
They finally changed their OC. Cumbie is now at Tech

Their issue has been consistent QB play
But they have the weapons.
Their #4 RB Barlow is now on USC and fighting for a starting spot. Might have been #5 when he transferred.
Zach Evans RB
Quentin Johnson WR
Kendre Miller RB
Savion Williams WR
All legit

No one went out on a limb for the 2021 predictions.

Let the numbers do the talking.

In comparing the 2020 preseason Big 12 projections with the actual 2020 final Big 12 standings:

The ONLY bad misses were Baylor, picked to finish 5th but wound up 9th, and Iowa State, picked to finish 4th and wound up in first place. Not bad.

Kansas State and Kansas were called accurately for 7th and 10th place.

Predictors were only 1 off on Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas, TCU and Texas Tech.

And only 2 off on WVU, which did 2 better than the predictions.

The worst predictions were for Baylor, which finished 4 notches lower than the predictions, and Iowa State, which finished 3 notches higher than the predictions.

Pretty good job. If 2021 is as accurate then WVU could be in trouble.

On the other hand, the 2021 predictions come pretty close to the 2020 final standings. NO TEAM was picked more than one notch different for 2021 than it actually finished in 2020.

Blindfolded monkeys could have done that well.

Texas finished above Oklahoma State because of beating them on the tiebreaker. Texas had their game against Kansas cancelled
Gave WVU the same credit because they beat TCU.
Even though WVU probably wouldn’t have beaten OU

Official Standings from 2020.
Only two changes are
Baylor over TX Tech
TCU over West VA

Because he did not get a offer from WVU as a player and held a grudge. This is a fact.

You need to crank it down a bit; seems like you are becoming crotchety in your elder years. Let the youngins run the show. Enjoy the Golden Years ... they could be gone in the twinkling of an eye.

"they could be gone in the twinkling of an eye."

I THINK AN 88-YEAR-OLD KNOWS THAT BETTER THAN YOU. I AM NOT CROTCHETY. I JUST DON'T SUFFER FOOLS GLADLY. JUST LIKE ST. PAUL. HE DID OK, TOO.

WE'LL KNOW BETTER AFTER OCTOBER 23. YOU'LL EITHER BE RIGHT OR HAVE ENOUGH EGG ON YOUR FACE TO FEED A FAMILY OF 12!
Being a self-proclaimed numbers aficionado, you should know that a win by TCU over WVU, which is probably unlikely, would not determine whether TCU is overrated or not. TCU is 11-11 in the last two seasons, but because the Frogs have thumped Texas twice, they've been put on a pedestal that a mediocre team doesn't deserve. Maryland beat Texas in consecutive seasons not too long ago, too.

How is being picked to finish 5th being put on a pedestal?

TCU is picked to finish 5th because they finished strong at the end of the year
They had their bowl game cancelled but would have beaten Arkansas by 20-30 points.

Two things will happen with them.
10 win team or another 6-6 season

Very deep at the RB position like I said. OL is much better

That was an extremely impressive win last year for Neal Brown.
Because that was their only defeat to finish the season. Would have ended the season with 6 straight wins

The reason why WVU won was because of their defense and ability to convert on third down
One of those games the current Big 12 provides

TCU couldn’t move the ball. WVU finally did before them
WVU had the ball for 35 minutes…Kept their defense on the field by converting third downs

8/15
compare that to games where WVU struggled

They would not of beaten Arkansas, especially by 30 points
