These college conference tournaments and NCAA championships require that you have enough decent starters. I see WVU is going with their 'midweek' starter against Fordham, which makes sense, but you damn sure cannot afford to lose that opening game, and be forced to win the next three to advance. Teams with multiple top pitchers tend to do well in these quick turn game tournaments.

But you won't throw your Midweek starter unless he is hot and most of the times he becomes an arm out of the pen during the Tournament.
