I’m hearing the same thing. Also a lot of rumors running around at Cincinnati, UCF, etc… does not have any interest in joining big 12 especially if conference champs get a seat at the table in the 12 team playoff.

🙄 this guy has insider sources not just VIP membership on a message board.

Not saying this move never happens. Just don't believe this guy knows before anyone else associated with WVU.

Playoff questions are not approved. In fact they are stalled because of B12

Ok, I have an insider connection into the program big time, and after holding out for way too long, I'll spill the beans on what I know. WVU is and has been working on moving to a new conference, however, everything we do has to be approved by the new diversity committee first. They didnt want the ACC because there are southern schools in the conference and a long time ago there was a war over slavery in America and they were on the wrong side down there. Same with SEC. BG12 never fit because of all the Texas schools. Texas is a republican state by and large so the committee wanted out as soon as they were formed (The OAN Tee shirt worn by Gundy on his private fishing trip was the nail in the coffin). The SEC was never an option because its more southern than the ACC. Too much racism in the past down there. The MAC came up, but same thing. Just too racist 100 years ago. The PAC was the conference of choice but they didnt want us so after much scrambling, we are going to have to settle with the Mountain West conference. Its about the least racist and most diverse and culturally sensitive conference that we could find on such short notice. Still a little redneck in a couple areas but enough Cali schools to fill our schedule with some more diverse opponents. Order your tee shirts now. My source is infallible.

And before anyone questions how we fit into that conference, just think about this. We are The Mountain State, and the Mountaineers. Now we are in the Mountain West. Its all about I heart Mountains,.

UNLV, Nevada-Reno, and San Diego State are all in the Mountain West Conference. These would be great road trips for WVU fans.

Exactly.

I want to see them in the ACC for personal reasons. Easy travel for me for a few schools on away games, and miss the rivalry etc….

But the 12 team model would have to take conference champs from 6 conferences and then look at At Large with more than three from one conference. SEC would be guaranteed Three teams in.

if not, then it’s garbage. Go back to BCS model.

however I’m laughing out loud as I’m typing this. The number one recruit in the country may forgo his senior season of high school to protect his million dollar NIL deal.

The conferences are going to cease to exist within a decade or less— will be like AFC ( SEC) and (NFC) Big Ten.

30 plus schools each and they meet in the super bowl of college football after playing playoffs in their own grouping.

undetermined if theyll play across the groupings as NFL schools do.

Let me know when you decide what profile you want to use. Then we will discuss WHY WVU doesn't fit into Big 12 plan.
According to people in the know you are incorrect unless Lyons and Gee are full of ****
All schools are looking at other options but ultimately they are moving forward together because none of them can afford the buyout and want ESPN to give them a nice chunk of change when Texas and Oklahoma leave

There is a lot of misinformation. People spreading rumors and half truths. How these message boards operate.
But you have key people in key positions. The remaining 8 presidents and ADs are united on what they want to happen.
That is for Texas and OU to remain for the remaining 4 years. If they do decide to leave we get paid
