bad, bad, bad. Not one bright spot shown in the first ten minutes.

As I type this Asa nearly causes Konate to travel fighting him for a rebound, misses a layup, and allows an entry pass and offensive rebound that results in the a Konate foul. Things are ugly all around.

Hey, when we pressure the ball to get into a rhythm offensively, we don’t look half bad. :boxing:

Nice comeback before the half.

Huggs has his work cut out. This is well beyond a new backcourt.

1) major leadership vacuum
2) Konate is (justifiably) trying to improve his game, but he has abandoned what made his game so great last year.
3) our press defense is awful...especially in light of the length we have (IMO see point 1...Javon would be kicking somebody’s *** right now).

Regardless of the outcome. Haven't seen a Mountaineer basketball team that just looks and plays flat out clumsy. Bunch of bad feet on this bunch. Lots of leaning in and out of passes. No dancing with stars winners here.

But on the other hand, we commit a lot of turnovers, don't shoot very well and don't rebound very well either. But they are hanging in there!

This team will be lucky to win 15 games. No talent. Extremely sloppy play. At the moment the very definition of a cluster f--k.

Don't worry, don't worry, don't worry. This team is so loaded with talent that it's a Final Four team. I know because I read it on this message board, so it has to be true.

Final Four in either the CBI or College Insider tournament, here we come. Final Four-bound, baby.

I dont need to pay you a $100 for the obvious.

Plus it's usually a circle-jerk over there with everyone praising everything. Hardly any criticism is allowed.

However, I'll always support Vernon because he allows a free board to occur and it use to be the place to be until some members got ran off and such like HankHill.

If you think the blue lot is all praise, then you obviously don’t venture over there very often.

Not that it would matter, but the lineup needs changed. When we start, we have ONE ball handler out of 5 on the court. Bolden is it. The other 4 are turnovers waiting to happen if they are asked to dribble.

I think Huggs is allowing this process to play out. I assume he feels Sags will get the idea of what his limits are. I feel he needs to evolve to play in the NBA, but if he doesn’t reel it in it’ll hurt this team this year.

I think you’ll see an inpatient Huggs when conference play begins.

The best looking game we had was when Konate and Beetle were on the bench. They are arguable also our best players, but something has to change in the way they are used I think. Impressed by Konate's ability to hit the three but we are a better team with him under the basket on offense too.

We need our 3 NBA hopefuls to do what they need to do for the team rather than trying to do things to impress NBA scouts.
