@3xWVUenginEER , this week's O/U has you written all over it.😄
This is funny the o/u is near 52. I pick 52 every week because back in 99 & again in 03 I think we hung 52 on North Korea & in our old tailgate crew that number stuck with Walt Harris. It’s just my number. My chances of the score hitting 52 total points in the Big XII are about the same as the power ball or whatever the other lotto is called with a number hitting 52. Some of these Big XII games each team has about hit 52. In 5 seasons it ain’t been right that often—-maybe once or twice.

As for picking the games, I don’t know how others do it. I always go with gut based on which team has the best HBC and/or qb and who’s at home. I’ll also occasionally let emotion on hating a school or liking a school influence it too. I never look at spreads when I pick because there’s too many upsets in cfb. This past weekend had games that blew my mind—UK over UT, FSU over UNC, and SC over Auburn. My strategy stunk with Bo Nix and Gus Malzagn. vs Musschamp. And FSU‘s 2nd string qb can run and throw deep which beat uNC’s sieve defense which wasn’t even on the slate nor was UK throttling Tennessee in Knoxville.

There are 2-3 games every year that a Mack Brown coached team comes out flat.
Hard for a hands off coach to make adjustments
What surprised me was the talent level may have favored UNC. Reason why they almost won but it wasn't enough
Guy leans on his assistants way too much. At times that can backfire.
You get down 14-24 points.

They have a huge game coming up with NC State.
Looks like people called their death way too early.

WVUs schedule from here out will be the real test of what this team is

@ Texas Tech
Kansas State
@ Texas
TCU
Oklahoma
@ Iowa State

The Texas Tech game is one of the better chances for a win but of course its down there.

Once again Bucky is a failure...
WVU 31 Tech 21
WVU 28 KSU 17
WVU @ Texas - tossup Texas more than likely wins. Must keep them under 30.
OU 31 WVU 17 - OU is our new PSU
WVU @ ISU - loss

5-5 record most likely / 6-4 if WVU can eek out a win at Texas.

Allen, I like what you are drinking. 2 W's and a 50/50 for a 3rd to get us to a 6 W season this year. 5-4 conference. Not many in their right mind would have predicted that at the beginning of the season. Hoped for, maybe, but not bet the house.

Texas Tech gave up

33 to Houston Baptist
31 to both KSU and ISU
63 to Texas

They scored 35 to win barely against FCS Houston Baptist, and put up 56 on Texas, 21 on K State and 15 on ISU.

So WVU should be able to score 31 pts against them.

As mentioned its the best shot for WVU to win.
WVU averages 33.5 pts per game and gives up 18.75 ppg. Texas Tech averages 31.75 ppg and gives up 39.5 ppg

Put down the crack pipe, and back away from your computer. 5-5 is well within reach, and 6-4 is possible, but 8-2 is pie-in-the-sky stuff.
Nice response it literally made me smile!! I just like to be optimistic and if it comes true I look smarter than I really am.

This team is as undisciplined of any WVU team I have ever watched in almost 40 years. Special teams are mediocre at best and a fg kick to win from more than 25 yards is not likely which is inexcusable. Players constantly celebrate after making routine plays which is cringe.

The 1 loss on the record so far is the "best" team we have faced and a 3rd String Freshman QB running a vanilla strawberry offensive game plan beat us. Baylor and Kansas are both bottom feeders this season. FCS game need not apply.

This is Brown's second chance in year TWO to show some kind of improvement above bottom of league coaching ability.

This really isn't exclusive to West VA this year.

Most schools are having this as an issue.

Because of that I don't think you could say that it is a Neal Brown problem.

People who have their feet in coaching are impressed with WVU. Especially their Defensive scheme. Stills brothers help...

Remember what I said when Neal Brown was hired. I believe this to be true even more after watching him.
It was the DL that allowed Troy to beat LSU. Troy dominated LSU up front.

At the point where the people at WVU prepare themselves to decide how important Neal Brown is but more importantly how important their football program is.

Are they willing to take a step up. This way Neal Brown stays.

Isn't Kentucky I would worry about. Mark Stoops most likely is staying there.

It is Auburn...
If Gus Malzahn is pushed out there are a lot of people in the Family who love Neal Brown who would be willing to pay him 4,5 or even 6 million a year and ask him what he wants to win at Auburn

This team desperately, and I mean desperately, needs to put 4 quarters of football together this weekend.

Defense has been playing lights out and TT offense with new QB, will surprise us.

Right now our offense is Leddie Brown. WR need to start playing with a chip on their shoulder and make plays. Hopefully James will leave his alligator arms in Motown for this one.
Could be a Reese Smith breakout game.

Nope I sure wasn't at the beginning of the year. I was thinking 4-6 at the start of the season. This team is only going to improve, IMO. If that translates into wins remains to be seen.

Undisciplined yes. IMO that is the result of having a very young team. Way too many FR & SO's in the 2 deep. That will ///// should ///// take care if itself as the year progresses.
