Good segment with Mullen, but the best was with Shane Power. He pretty much told it like it is on MSU basketball. Spot on comments regarding Renardo. He said he has spent some time with him and he is a nice guy in person, BUT, as a teammate, his effort will not be received well. His analysis was that Renardo clogs up the middle and hinders the whole offense (whatever that is). That, with his lack of effort on defense, equates to a loss if he plays 30 minutes. That guy knows his roundball. He really didn't pull any punches on his MSU comments today.

about Sidney. I hate I missed the Mullen interview. Hopefully they will have it up on the website.

Power is going to end up being "the voice of change" for the State basketball program, whatever that change may be. He's the only one close to our program that tells it like it is without pulling any punches.

The Mullen interview was great. Really went into detail about the importance/advantage of early enrollment and spoke a bit about Quay and Autry by name as well. I got the distinct impression he's expecting both to start next year...as he was speaking about Quay filling Fletcher's role...

the RSS all he wants but we are an even worse team when Lewis is on the floor in place of him. It doesn't take a basketball guru to see that. And besides, we are currently down to 7 players that can even contribute at this point with Deville being out. If Sidney decided to bail tomorrow we would really be up a creek.

He was passively aggressively criticizing Sidney. But he was doing so in such a way that he wasn't bashing him persay. It seemed more like "trying to send a message." This still isn't a topic that I'd probably want to discuss against a recent, "basketball smart" 4-yr player in our program.

I agree, RSS is our only option at this point. We'd be done without him. But I ask, how did we let it get to this point? He's not a dominant player. Why are we so shallow depth-wise that we can't replace average offensive production/below average defensive production at the forward position? Where is Osby? Bailey? Gardner? Where is Shaun Smith? What's up with these DeVille problems? The rumors surrounding that do not ever seem to be a problem in baseball or football, yet it is repetitive in our basketball program. Why is that? There is blame to be placed here, and it truly is NOT with Renardo Sidney.

Which of these 3 players do you take, if you had to choose one?
