He is going to do an afternoon show that will be statewide with Richard Cross. Should be a really good show.

certainly has a lot of good sports info and opinions, but duringTSUN mascot vote he cut off anyone who dared to call it what it was....a joke. Even most sensible rebel fans looked at the whole situation with disdain (whether they were pro colonel reb or not) and the ones that called into Dick's show were cut off the air or argued with vehemently.
Richard's best line ever was back in either 06-07 when State decided to wear those hideous baseball uniforms they had then. During the series in Oxford, he called them "softball uniforms with a NASCAR flair". Still one of the funniest things I have ever heard. Hell, even my State friends talked about how awful the uni's were.
I agree the mascot debate was a joke...but the bigger joke was some of the stupid reaction on both sides. My biggest point was a mascot - whether a bear, plantation owner, slave, dog or ballerina -is a cartoon character, period. And frankly, if I remember correctly, I didn't spend a ton of time on the mascot.<div>I try to let people talk when they call.
