He said Strick was the type of guy that wanted to see constant improvement, and would not tolerate any planing off or downward turn of momentum in any sport for any substantial amount of time. I think he will look at Bball as our only program that isn't showing signs of a rise on the flow chart, and this may have been Rick's chance to save his job with this team.
So far, he has been ahead of the curve on everything, so it wouldn't surprise me if after the Hawaii fight last year he gave Stan's a minimum requirement for this season. Based on the past two games, I would imagine Rick has already packed a few boxes bc he knows those requirements aren't going to be met, and he will be "retiring" after this years NIT run.
